I am a WALKER!!!

Dalton is offically a true walker now! Toddler is his name & Toddling is his game! HAHA! He is everywhere now. WOW did not expect it to be this tiring on me. I am chasing after him. He likes to do a slow run rather then walk at times. What a day makes! He is now getting up without using a chair or ME to pull up on. That started on Saturday & now when he falls he just gets back up no problem. He is still a little wobbly but overall doing great! I am excited he will be walking for Christmas that is what I wanted! (But do I really want it now?) We chose not to put up a tree this year because he would have knocked it down for sure! We went to see Santa yesterday & he DID NOT like it at all! Now I have a great picture to show his girlfriends when he gets older. When I can get it scanned I will put it on. I can't figure out how to use my new printer/scanner. Now I am going to finish my Christmas Shopping!!! I got the following little story from a friend and it really puts Christmas in perspective. Also I read that Christ is the longest thing in Christmas! Is that not true or what!

Mary's Dream I had a dream, Joseph. I don't understand it, not really, but I think it was about a birthday celebration for our Son. I think that was what it was all about. The people had been preparing for it for about six weeks. They had decorated the house and bought new clothes. They'd gone shopping many times and bought elaborate gifts. It was peculiar though, because the presents weren't for our Son. They wrapped them in beautiful paper and tied them with lovely bows and stacked them under a tree. Yes, a tree, Joseph, right in their house! The branches were full of glowing balls and sparkling ornaments. There was a figure on the top of the tree. It looked like an angel might look. Oh, it was beautiful. Everyone was laughing and happy. They were all excited about the gifts. They gave the gifts to each other, Joseph, not to our Son. I don't think they even knew Him. They never mentioned His name. Doesn't it seem odd for people to go to all that trouble to celebrate someone's birthday if they don't know Him. I had the strangest feeling that if our Son had gone to this celebration He would have been intruding. Everything was so beautiful, Joseph, and everyone so full of cheer, but it made me want to cry. How sad for Jesus not to be wanted at His own birthday celebration. I'm glad it was only a dream. How terrible, Joseph, if it had been real.

Wow we all need to remember this!!

I can SAY.....

SANTA! I think that is soooo cool! My neighbor gave Dalton this cute Santa hanger for his door knob. Well I was changing his diaper & he was playing with it when he got it and I said "Santa" then he repeated it right back to me!!!! The kid can say Santa but does not say Mommy!! He has said Mommy a few times but not much! I guess he knows who to suck up to right now!! SANTA! My boy is growin up. He says so many more things now. Here are a few words: GO GO GO, Yes, Santa, (of course Daddy), Lily & the occasional Mommy! He is really smart this one! I usually show him something once & he gets it!

Flu Shot!

Dalton had his second part of his flu shot today. He was a little trooper! He only cried for about 4 seconds. It was fast! He has become such a little walker! He is trotting around everywhere now. Unfortunately I am going to have to put shoes on him more when we go out now. He wanted down in the Dr. office today. Of course I only had socks on him. He wanted to walk around. I got him some hard shoes the other day, but he does not want to walk in them. He just stands there like AHHHHH what do I do in these things! We are both getting over a cold, I am sick of them. But I think it is because the weather changes from hot to cold & does not stay either! I wish it would just stay cold already!!

I am TIRED!!!

Whew! Mommy is sooooo tired! I have worked my buns off this past week! Dalton has had a great time with Daddy, Pappa & Jo. Grandma & I have had 2 lobby shows aday this week! So I have not had the time to blog! Next week I am done with Lobby Shows. That is bitter sweet! Then I can begin to get my shopping done.

Big boy haircut!

Well I got Dalton's haircut like a big boy!! As we are calling it. He was a perfect angel just like the first time we got it cut but I chickened out on the back curls.

I got tired of it being so long. It was out of control!

He just sat in the chair while the lady cut it really still. We went to a place just for kids. He got to sit in a Fire Engine chair. Even when the lady buzzed around his head with the clippers he was still & quiet.

He is really getting along with the walking. I will have to get a video & get it posted. He takes 10 steps at a time. He is still not sure if that is the way to go. Crawling is still faster for him.

He has been giving more kisses lately too. He is saying more words. He likes to say GO GO GO. Also he says my mother's dog's name Lily. It is cute.

13 Months TODAY!!

Now that we are over the Soy milk thing! Wheeee! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We opted for a Brisket instead of the traditional Tom the Turkey. We thought we would save one turkey this year! Darrel cooked a mean brisket as usaual. He does a great job!! Best BBQ in Texas if I do say so myself. I cooked pumpkin pie & made toffee!! YUM YUM!! We went to Grandma & Grandpa Nelson's for Thanksgiving! Great Grandpa came too! We had a nice dinner & I played cards with my grandfather (which by the way was a mistake since I LOST!). Dalton is really working his walking legs! He likes to be upright more then on all fours (unless he needs to get somewhere really fast). Darrel will hold him & I will ask him to come to me & boom here he comes. He has taken 8 steps at a time! I hope he is walking by Christmas. That is my goal for him (of course that is mommy's goal may not be Dalton's). Dalton is 13 months today & he is doing just great. I think he is teething, not sure which teeth? We caught him trying to chew on the end table! We also had to put some child locks on some of the cabinets, I am tired of saying NO NO NO!!! It is wearing me out not to mention Dalton's bottom! He is a stubborn kid, if he wants something there is no stopping him. Which is a good thing for some things and not others! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am most thankful for my Family! Yes I have a wonderful Family. How blessed I am if I do say so myself. I live in a free country & am healthy!!

SOY MILK YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CAUTION: If you have just eaten do not read this!!!! OK soy milk is yuck going in & coming out!!!!!! Poor Dalton!!!! I thought because he was getting constipation with milk that we would try soy milk. Disclaimer: I called the dr office to ask if it was ok, they said yes! Well it is NOT ok for Dalton. About 2 hours after he had his evening bottle (I know he should not have an evening bottle but one battle at a time) he woke up crying. Darrel picked him up went to the living room. I came in to see what was the matter & picked him up (my mistake!) took him to the kitchen to get him some mylanta because his stomach was rumbling. THEN it happened an explosion from within his small body! All of his supper (what I thought was all) came out, all over me, counter floor & sink! So we got him washed up, put back down then no more then 1 hour later he was squirmy again. I again (made the mistake) picked him up & bam it happened again all over my front, back, hair & face (yes I said face). We took him in and again cleaned him up!! Ok thought it was over then about 5am I smell a stink, thought he had a bad diaper but no! So went back to sleep again then I awoke to another smell! That was it the worst diaper Dalton has had to this date!! So after we changed that diaper but did not go to sleep we went to the kitchen for a snack. He was hungry. He had a breakfast bar, then it happened again but worse! I had to give him a bath this time! (no explanation needed for that) Wow I thought it was over then about 1 hour later another!! Gosh I hope this ends soon!!! So the moral of this story is DALTON CAN NOT HAVE SOY MILK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daddy is bringing home the meat!!!

Daddy shot a 9 point buck! YEA!! The people he went with are having the head mounted, (which he will have to put that at work in his office) it is not going to be hung in this house!! Does not go with my decor! They are having the deer processed too! Yea we get sausage & slim jims which are my FAVORITE!!! He had a great time. He has not been hunting in over 10 years. He deserved it!! Dalton had fun at Grandma & Grandpa's house on Saturday. I did some ebay work for a friend. Yesterday we went to a Thanksgiving dinner party. Dalton had a great time & so did we eating great food with friends. He loves whipped cream (I mean who doesn't)!! He is becoming such a little man, he really wants to walk. When you walk with him he only wants to hold one hand. He is pushing all of his push toys around the house as well as at Grandmas house. He loves to walk!! I can't wait until he can do it without assistance. I belive he will be running instead of walking. He got a bump on the head at the dinner party yesterday. She had a small stool & he slipped & bumped his head on it. He has a nice goose egg on his head. I told the Cathy the ladies house we had the party at we would put her name over that bump! HAHA! Cathy was not even near when it happened it was MAMA! I am sure there will be more of those to come! We are having brisket for Thanksgiving. Darrel makes a mean Brisket! I had turkey 2 times last week so I can skip it!

Just Dalton & I!

Daddy is off to bring home some meat for his family the old fashion way!! Hunt for it! He has not been hunting for 10 years. He got to go on a free trip to hunt. All he has to do is bring himself & clothes. They are paying for food & lodging! So Dalton & I are home alone this weekend. He is sleeping right now so I am listing some ebay items I am selling for a friend. I have lots to do so I really need to get with it!! I am hoping Grandma & Grandpa will take him some tomorrow so I can work in peace! He was trying to snap his fingers today! It was so cute. He is soooooo smart! I just wish walking was on his top priority list but we all know that will be on his time not mine. Also I will probably regret the walking thing when it happens. Well I am going to check on the little bugger!

Poor little guy!!

Well this morning Dalton woke up at 6am! I don't blame him he was soaking wet!!! I did not know one little guy could pee that much!!! WOW! I am stumped on the sleeping thing!! The doctor told me to leave him in his bed to cry. I will try that this weekend once again!!! I just hate to hear him cry. He was fussy Monday I think because of his shots he had on Friday. He was sort of fussy yesterday too! I guess that dumb flu shot got him. Darrel & I don't get them because they make us sick. I guess I should not have given him one either! Lesson learned!! He is doing good otherwise. We have our 8th tooth! He now has 4 on top & 4 on bottom. We found out he loves pizza. But who doesn't love pizza. He loves yobaby yogurt! I am selling a bunch of stuff for a friend on ebay! WOW it is alot. She is so sweet & I hope it all goes for a great price. Most of it is stamping stuff!! She went to digital scraping! I need to check that out! Our favorite scrapbooking place is closing on November 30th! We are all crushed!! That was my one night a week to get away. I will have to find somewhere else. I am almost done with is one year book!! I have to start another now! I only have 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th month pages plus crawling page to do then I am done. I do have his birthday but I am going to do that in a smaller album. Well off to start the day!! Well it really started over an hour again! Good day to all!!

ONE YEAR CHECKUP STATS!!

He had his 1 year checkup on Friday. He got 3 shots YUCK!! It was like he new when we laid him down on the table & held his arms he started to cry like I know what is coming!! Well on better notes he is: 32-1/4" tall 29.15 lbs. He is starting to go up instead of out! The DR said he was as tall as an 18 month old! WOW I think we have a real tall one on our hands. He might even be taller then DAD! That could be a problem when he becomes a teen! I am so proud of him because he is doing so good! The DR said I am going to have to just let him cry in his crib. She said it would take about a week or 2 but he would go back to sleeping good in there. But she said if we did not nip this now it would be worse later. She said to me how many teens have said to their mothers you let me cry when I was a baby in my crib! I really want him to sleep in there!!! I think we all would sleep better including DALTON!! So I am going to have to buckle down & really do it!!! I am sure I will say after it is over YEA I am glad I did it!

TAKING HIS FIRST REAL STEPS!!

Well yesterday Dalton took his first real steps!! He had taken 2 a few days ago but that was it. But now he took 4 steps then 5 steps. He is really going to walk soon. I got it on video so I will post it later! I am really excited because then I don't have to carry him!!! YEA!

HOW FUNNY!!!

This was so funny!! Yesterday Dalton did not get much sleep I mean about 10 mins. So when we were feeding him dinner last night LOOK AT THE PHOTO BELOW:



You guessed it fell asleep! It was hilarous! Daddy was just feeding him & his eyes just started to shut then finally closed!!

He was a tired boy!!! Because you know he never falls asleep without assistance. This would be only the second time!!!


The next photo was of him trying to do a handstand or look between his legs. I was working in my office when I looked over & saw this! He learned this at the Little Gym.

Halloween Pictures!!

Last year Dalton was only 7 Days old on Halloween so we did not dress him up. Here are some pictures I had taken of him in his Halloween Costume. He was so cute, we took him to his Grandparents, Godfather's & neighbors houses. We had him stand at the door with his pail! He was so cute. Next year will be great when he can run up to the doors & maybe say TRICK or TREAT!!

I WANT TO SLEEP AGAIN!!

OK, I really wish Dalton would be somewhat consistant with sleeping. One night it is sleeping in his bed until morning the next it is getting up at 1am! AHHHHHHHHHHHH I just want to sleep all the way thru the night!! I really want another baby but this is breaking me of that! We are going for his 1 year checkup on Friday, both Daddy & I, so I am going to get some hints then. Also he will be getting shots! But not the MMR one. I am waiting on that one. I just don't like what it has done to kids as far as Autism. I have plenty of time for it. He won't be in school for awhile. I don't think he would get Autism but you never know & I don't want to take that chance. He is so bright & happy I would hate for that to change.

Well this is a FIRST for my little Man!!

This is a very first for Dalton. He has fallen asleep in the car of course but NEVER in the house on his own! Maybe he is growing up!!! YEA!! I was just about ready to put him in the car for a little ride to drop off some stuff at the donation spot that did not sell in our garage sale.
It got really quiet except for his video & I looked over and saw this!





Our neighbor gave him that pillow for his birthday. He loves it! He always sits by it in his playard!

I know he has way tooooooo many toys! There are more where those came from! Our living room. Now our dining room is his playroom. I moved my dining room table & chairs to our breakfast room & sold that set. So now he can see me accross the entry hall in my office. He has his TV & toys, all a boy really needs anyway. He loves it!!
When he was in the living room he would cry because he could not see me, now he has a full view of momma!

Well I guess since my little man is sleeping I shall get stuff done!! SHHHHHHHHHHH be very quiet the baby boy is sleeping!!!

Ok I know all of you probably get sick of me saying he is a great boy! But he really is. We took him to a kids haircut place. He got to sit in a fire engine. Which he loved.

They put on Baby Enstein for him which he also loves. So what is a kid to be unhappy about. He just sat there. Every once in awhile he would look around. But for the most part he just sat there.

Ok I thought I was ready to get his haircut but I was not! Darrel said why did we even bother, she did not cut off that much. I took pictures & had my baggie ready for the hair. But Dalton has such nice curly hair in the back, I just was not ready to see it go! So I had her just cut the front & trim a little off the sides. He was even good when she had the clippers out to trim his sideburns!

So most of the change is on the top & front. Maybe I should have waited awhile longer!! But I was so excited until I really got there, I guess I want to hold on to my baby a little while longer!!!

He got lots of great gifts, including a wagon from Grandpa & Grandma that he loves. We ride in that now instead of his stroller!
He also got some great riding toys. The boy has 7 things to ride on! Talk about spoiled!! He got some great remote control items too!

Thursday Happenings!

Today I had a meeting so Grandpa said he would watch Dalton while I was there. They had a great time. They took a walk, ate mashed potatoes & watched cartoons. He does love his Grandpa. He lights up when he sees him & Grandma too. Dalton & I went on a walk today with his wagon, he loves that thing! I guess he feels more like a big person not riding in a stroller. He just loves to look around. When we were headed back home up pulls Darrel. He was riding his motorcycle & when he has the helmet on Dalton does not know what to think. He knows it is Daddy but still just looks at him like why do you have that silver thing on your head. Dalton gets a kick out of seeing all the decorations for Halloween. We walk by some & he just points & say stuff (don't understand what!). Gosh I am so lucky to have such a good boy, everyone says how happy he is all the time. He truly is happy all the time!!! We have decided not to give Dalton that MMR shot right now (& maybe ever)! I am so scared of it! He is so happy & I would hate for that to change him from what he is!! Darrel is going with me to the one year checkup to keep me strong on what I want. We don't want the shot & I don't want to cave!! I will be posting some pictures of the Big Birthday Bash soon! I have to do a lobby show tomorrow so I have been busy with that the last few days. I know get it in gear & post some pictures. We had a great time! Dalton was a good boy! We had been singing to him for 2 weeks everyday so he would not cry when everyone sang to him. He did great! No crying!!! He loved the cake, you will see that in the pictures! Goodnight everyone!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Well today is Halloween! Dalton is a pumpkin. What a great pumpkin he is!! This will be the first year we get to go out & trick o treat. Last year he was only 7 days old. We just sat on the couch!! Grandma & Grandpa got him a wagon & we are going in that. Next year will be even more fun because he will be walking!! We went to the little gym today which he just loves. He is so vocal there. He loves the other kids. Dalton seems to be playing well with others. He is gentle when he touches other kids. He laughs the whole time he is there. People say to me he is always smiling & yes he is!! I hope he stays this way forever Happy & Healthy!! I will post some pictures of my little pumpkin later!! Happy Halloween everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALTON!!

Well today is Dalton's 1st birthday. What a big milestone my baby is taking!! I am sad to see him pass the baby stage but excited for him to have all the new experiances Toddlerhood has in store for him!! He is going to the Little Gym today to play with all his friends there then we are going to go with Grandma to Toys R Us to get some toys for his birthday. The party is on Sunday & I think I am ready, cake is ordered, balloons & etc are bought. Just need to get last minute food. We got a pinata of Elmo so he can have fun with that. Can't wait for him to tear into his cake!! Well off to the Little Gym with my little big man!!

New Trick!!

Dalton has a new trick. He can point! I think it is so cute. We were outside letting bailey the dog out when he pointed at his daddy's truck. He looks so cute pointing!! Of course I think he looks cute doing everything. Well tomorrow is his big day!!! NUMBER 1! I went & got the party supplies such as plates & cups!! We got a pinata! It is elmo which is our theme.

3 Days until the big Day!!

Well it is 3 Days until my baby boy turns 1 years old!! I am sort of sad but happy he is moving into the next part of his life! He is such a sweet boy, I know I say that all the time but it is really true. He has so many bruises from crawling & standing & falling. I can't wait for him to walk. He is walking now holding one hand of an adult. He is also standing allot without holding anything. I am waiting for him to take his first steps!! Soon!! His sisters were here to visit him on Saturday. He just thinks they are great!!! Wish they were closer though.

Friday Highlights!

Grandma & Grandpa picked up Dalton so I could get ready for the garage sale the neighborhood is having tomorrow. I am so not ready. I do want to sell some stuff. I hate selling his clothes he has outgrown but since I am not having another baby why hang on to it. I am saving the outfits he has taken pictures in at the photo studios. I want to save some so I thought that was the best thing because then I won't save it all!!! You know how us mother's want to save every piece of clothing our children had. They all have such great memories. Dalton has new words the one I am most proud of is Mama. But Hi is another. He is so cute with his waving. He has been standing alone lately. I will come into the room and his is just standing there. He tries to walk but has to still have someone holding his hands. He is so independent. Well I better get off the computer & get to marking stuff!!! UGH, glad when this Saturday is over!!! OH only 6 days until my baby turns 1!! He will be a toddler!! BOOOOO HOOOOO they grow up so fast. He is such a little man already!!

MAMAMAMAMA!!!!! YEA I have been waiting for that for awhile. I have been saying it to him forever. FINALLY I get Mama!!! Hope he keeps it up. It will be a big change from DaDaDaDa all the time. So today is a great day. We have colds but Mama makes me feel much better.

Monday Madness Report!!

I think Dalton has some allergies. Hope it is not a cold again!!! He has a runny nose & sniffing!! At the farm we went to for pumpkin picking it was dusty!! Out in the middle of nowhere!! Darrel was sneezing when we were there too. It rained here most of the day. It is starting to become cooler, for us that is in the high 80's. This weekend is our neighborhood garage sale! I have to get ready for that as well as a charity auction/fair on Thursday & Craft for Saturday for my business. What a hectic week this will be. I am looking forward to SUNDAY!!! The 28th is Dalton's birthday bash!! I have to get ready for that next week. I am going to go Sunday to buy the cups, plates etc for the party. I am getting a pinata. The kind you pull so that Dalton can pull it. It will be Elmo like the rest of the theme of the party. He sure digs him!!! We are going to get him a tunnel he loves climbing around & crawling between things so I think he will like that. I am also getting him this Dinosaur that goes with these balls for other toys he has. He will love it!! Well off to work on all my projects!!!

Great weekend!!

Well we went to a farm to get pumpkins this past Saturday!! Dalton had a great time! We got 3 pumpkins. 1 small one for Dalton & 2 big ones! I will post some pictures soon. Can't wait until he is about 3 years old he will have a great time. There are rides & lots of other stuff to do there.

Great Week!!

Dalton had a great week! He gets to go to the little gym twice this week. We have 3 make-up classes to do. So Daddy is taking him today! YEA! I am glad he gets to see just how much fun it is for him. I am really glad I signed him up for that class. It was not so cheap but worth every penny to see him light up!! His tooth is in next to his bottom 2. So he has 7 teeth offically now. I think he will be getting the otherside soon. He is such a trooper. Hope everyone has a great weekend. We are going to pick pumpkins this Saturday at a farm in our area. I am excited to take Dalton's pictures in the pumpkin patch. He is going to be a pumpkin for Halloween so I think I am going to take his costume to take pictures also. This post is especially for my friend Dassy!!!

What a good boy!!

Dalton is such a good boy. I am getting ready for his party. I don't know exactly what you do at a one year old's party. I guess it is more for mom & dad then baby. He does not have a clue. A friend of mine is making the cake. She showed me the picture of it yesterday WOW it is so cute. I can't wait. He is even getting his own to smash!! She is so talented. WOW again!!!

Tooth Frenzy!

Well Dalton's cutting the 2 teeth next to the bottom 2 he already has. Boy he is probubly saying no more teeth!!! He is not excited about his bed right now. He sleep with us on the trip & is having trouble going back to the old crib!! He is so sweet. I can't get over how much he loves other kids. He laughs & smiles when one comes by!! We went to the little gym today. He has not been in 3 weeks. He was happy to go back!! He really enjoys that. He wears out after his 45 mins there.

BACK TO REALITY!!! YUCK!!

We are back from Colorado. I would love to live there!!! I would move in a second. What a beautiful state!! There was nothing that I saw there that was not just beautiful. Dalton was GREAT on the plane!! There were other kids that were not so good. He is such a trooper. He had a running nose some of the time but he is back to his old self. Now we have to get him to sleep in his bed good again. He slept until about 2am then back with mommy & daddy. He slept with us for a week so we are going to have to work on it. Well I am glad to be in my own home but again I wish I could move it to Colorado.

On Vaction in Colorado!!!

OH MY GOSH!!! God has surely made a great place when he made Colorado. The mountains are sooooo beautiful. If you live here you are very blessed to have such a great view on a daily basis!! We were on our way from Denver to Steamboat Springs when we went thru Rabbit Ears Pass & there was SNOW!!!! Cool. We did not think we would get to see it yet. We are having fun & taking lots of pictures. Wish all my friends & family were here with us!

Better Night!

Dalton had a great night. He slept from about 8:30pm until 6:30am. Meds must be doing their thing. He was given a cough med & steroid to try to clear this bugger of a cold up. He is going on 2 full weeks of lots of coughing. He is doing much better this morning. Glad to get this gone before the trip. The airplane ride would not have been fun for him with a cold.

Poor Baby Boy!

Well Dalton has been sick since last Monday. We went yesterday for a chest x-ray to rule out anything in his lungs. Praise his lungs are clear. He just has a runny nose & cough. We are going back today. We are leaving Sunday for Colorado & want him to be well for the trip. Don't want his first trip to Colorado to be a disaster! Will update when I return from DR. Wish she would just give him antibiotics to clear it up!

Freaky Friday!!

Well today is a better day for all of us. Dalton is feeling better. He only has a slight cough. Mommy is feeling much better too. He slept better last night. Took a long nap this morning. We are getting ready to go to Colorado with my parents in a week. We are all flying & that should be fun. I am so excited. I have not been there when there is no snow. So this should be fun. We are going to a place called Strawberry Park which sounds great. Also going to go on a hike up to a waterfall. Look forward to taking some great pictures.

Mommy is sick now!

Wow Mommy & Grandma are both sick now too! Dalton is getting better & I am getting worse. Dalton sleep last night until 1am then woke up again at 4:30am then again woke up at 8am. I hope tonight will be all night!!! My poor boy only sleep 20 minutes today!! Let's all sing "Tonight is the night"!!!

Cold!! YUCK!!!

Dalton has a small cold. He has a runny nose & did not sleep well last night at all. Mommy was up all night long. He got up at 6:40am & has not gone to sleep yet. It is now 10:30am. I don't think I am ever going to get to sleep again. I am sooooo tired. You would think he was too! I guess the pediacare that I gave him is keeping him up. I just want him to sleep about 2 hours so I can too!!!!! Hope tonight is better!!!

Sleeping Issues!!!

Well it has been awhile since I have written anything. Dalton has not been sleeping well at night. It is weird that he went from a good sleeper to now waking up 1 to 3 times a night. People say it could be developmental milestones or teething!! The DR office said you are going to have to let him cry & put himself back to sleep. They are probably right!!! I hate that but I think that is my last resort. When I know he is feed, dry diaper & had stuff for his teething I am going to have to teach him to fall asleep on his own. Darrel & I have been putting him back to sleep all this time. He probably does not know how to do it on his own. Next Weekend is the time when we will do that. I am not looking forward to that at all!!! I hate to hear my baby boy cry! But He will not remember & he will sleep better! Wish us luck!!! I have been doing some lobby shows & craft shows that is why I have not blogged lately. I am bet!! I am also doing this stupid diet thing & it is making me nuts!!!

Happy Labor Day!

What a great day today! We have had a nice family day today. Dalton has been great as usual. He is taking a nap right now. We went to Toys R Us & found this great car that we can push. He rode in it at the store & loved it. It had a steering wheel with a horn. He loved that. We will go back & get it this weekend. We had too much in the trunk. It is also pouring down rain right now. Everyone have a Happy Labor Day!!

Dalton's new moves!

Dalton is moving & shaking!!! Wow he is off & running with the crawling. He loves to stand up, he is now really good at it. He sleep from 7pm to 6am last night!! YEA He has been up alot lately during the night. Hope that cycle is done! He is so sweet, smiling all the time!! I can't believe that in less then 2 months he will be ONE! BOOOOOO HOOOOOO! He really needs a haircut. But DAD won't let us get it cut until he is 1. I am excited to take him to this kids haircutting place just for kids. They take his picture & video & let him watch videos. His new thing is to pat his legs & hold up his arms when I say "Blast OFF"! Little Ensteins. He loves them. He loves Handy Manny too as well as Baby Enstein.

RPNC WEIGH-IN

I have to say I am suprised that I lost 2 lbs this week. I have to say I did not even try. I guess Dalton crawling I don't really have time to eat or think about eating. Yea for his crawling.

HAPPY 10 MONTHS TO DALTON!!

Dalton is 10 months old! Wow does not seem possible. I say that as every month passes. Soon it will be every year that passes. He slept until 7am. Which is great since he only had one nap yesterday that was about 1 hour long. He is teething so is a little sensitive! We are going today for pictures. Can't wait. Hope he is good & not cranky. I really want some good pictures.

Well Dalton slept until about 7:20am this morning!! YEA BOY!!! Love that. I am sure he does too! Dalton is off and running now. He is into everything!!!!!!!!! He loves the windows! He loves looking out! He is pulling up on the furniture allot now. He just does not want to sit still. I love that he is so curious. Some say that means he is smart! Well of course I already knew that but it is nice to hear from other people. We were in the house all day yesterday waiting for the a/c guy! YUCK. Of course they were over an hour late & we had waited 4. So were are going to go out today. I feel like a caged animal since I have not been out in a day. Hope everyone has a great day!! UPDATE for Thursday! Dalton did not want to take a nap. I looked in his mouth while he was fussing & his bottom gums are swollen & red. He might have more teeth in the front coming in. He is sure getting teeth fast! Poor guy. He is hurting!

Been a couple of days!

Well it's been a couple of days!! Dalton is crawling & I am tired!! He is wearing me thin!! I hope thin! I am having to follow him around to make sure he is not in trouble! He is pulling up on the furniture. He loves to walk around furniture & holding our hands. He is going to be walking sooner then we think. He loves to be up and moving. He can't sit still very long unless one of his videos he loves is on. Well I am off to bed because I was up with him thru the night. I think we are getting our molars & that is waking him up. Goodnight all!

CRAWLED TODAY!!!

Wow we were so excited! I was glad that Darrel got to be there too for the first crawl!

He is really mastering it today. I am in trouble now!!! He has already gone right for the outlets & what is plugged into them. Tomorrow I am off to buy more outlet covers. I guess I will be moving all my cleaning supplies up now too. I will be shutting doors & much more!!

Mommy is going to lose weight because now she is going to be moving non stop!
Looks like we are going to miss the hurricane!! YEA!! I pray for the people that are not so lucky!

I am off to bed!! I have to get my rest for tomorrow's crawl-a-thon!

Sorry girls I forgot to put my stats up yesterday. I went Scrapbooking yesterday from 4:30pm to Midnight!!! YEA I need to lose about 60 lbs. YES you heard me right 60 lbs. I am going to not put my weight up because there are too many people that see me all the time that I don't want to know my true weight!! So here we go 60lbs & counting!! I am going to limit myself to 1 yes 1 coke a day!! That is my weakest link. I am going to start using my treadmill again. It is so darn hot here (about 105 heat index) most of the time. Or I will walk the mall which is 1 mile around once. I should walk it 3 times. Thanks for letting me join your Rollie Pollie Ninja Chubs Club!!! It will be great!!

Not much going on today. Dalton did sleep straight thru to 7:45am YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Loving that!! He is so happy. We went to Garden Ridge Pottery & he laughed the whole time we were there. He loves to look at other kids big or small. He is a flirt & attention hog!! Just like mama!! I am working on mama, still only dada. He talks alot to his toys. He does give the best kisses in the world though.

New Teeth Saturday!!

Wow, I was sure thinking he was working on his molars because I felt something back there. Well we did not even think to look in the front. He got his 2 teeth on each side of his top teeth. I thought before they might be coming but then lost focus on them & spent my time checking the back. Long behold the front 2 are coming out! You can see the teeth, they have broke the surface. No wonder Dalton has gotten up the last couple of nights. DAH Mom!! He now has 6 teeth. I remember when Darrel said to me, enjoy his cute look without teeth because once they start to come in they will come fast. He was right. I do miss the little toothless grin. He is such a tropper thru the whole teeth thing though. I think he does good considering what pain I am sure it is. We had an uneventful Saturday. We did not really do anything! Dad & Dalton swam in the pool & I did some laundry. Real exciting! I know I keep changing the templete to his blog, I can't seem to find one I like. There are not alot of great choices. They need to make some for babies! Of course soon he will be a toddler, BOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!! He is growing up WAY TO FAST for my liking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sunday we have to go show Grandma & Grandpa his new teeth. Grandpa has not seen him in a few days and needs his Dalton fix. It is going to be 100 degrees today! Which means the heat index will be about 108. HOT is all I can say HOT!

Napless Friday!

I don't know if Napless is a word but that is what kind of a day my son had. He did not want to miss a thing today. He took a 20 min nap on the way home from shopping today. Dad got him this evening!!! YEA! He was good today but just awake for the whole thing. I like a little down time. He reallllllllyyyyyy wants to walk I think. He loves to stand up. I hope he crawls because I don't want to miss that stage since this is my only baby!! Hope he naps tomorrow!!!

Terrific Tuesdays!

Well we are having a Terrific Tuesday today! We had Breakfast with Grandma & her friends. Dalton was great as usual. Then we went to Target to get Diapers seems like we do that all the time. Well now Dalton is napping & I am going to Clean YUCK!!!! Don't like that much. I had a wonderful weekend, I scrapbooked 21 pages!! I have thru his 5th month done. So I have 2 more months plus some extra pages like the bluebonnets, teeth, first food & first trip. Then I should be caught up! I really want to get caught up so I don't have years to do at a time. I know people that do, they struggle with it. I don't want to forget stuff that I might want to make note of. I have also done a book for my mother (his grandmother). Her's is almost caught up too! YEA!!!!! It was a blast!

Dalton's 9 Month Checkup Today!!

Dalton had his 9 month check up today. Dr said he is great!!! He weighs 27lbs & is 30-1/2" Tall!! He is off the charts on all measures which I think is great!! I think he is going to be ahead of the game all his life & his going to be a super man!!! Also Saturday while mom was gone (of course) he learned to sit up from a laying position all by himself. He is soooooo close to crawling. He now gets up on his hands & toes & his whole body is off the ground. He is moving around great with his arms & legs. I just know crawling is in our near furture. He was great for his Dad this weekend. He went to Grandma & Grandpa's yesterday & had fun in their pool!! He loves to go to their house. He is such a happy boy! Right now he is in the pool with DAD!

Cranky DAY!!

Dalton has been cranky most of the day. I think it might be the teething thing again. I can't explain otherwise. He is normally a happy sweet boy! He would not eat much food today so that might explain help explain the teething. Hope tomorrow is a better day. I have a meeting at 10am & hope he is good for it. Daddy gets to take care of him from Friday afternoon until Sunday night!! Hope he is good for him, he usually is. Dalton goes for his 9 month checkup on Monday. I got a 8:15am appointment because I want to be one of the first. My DR is great, she does not rush you. So that makes all of her appointments run behind. It is hard now to sit in the Dr. office with a 9 month old that wants to move about!!!

Tuesday Tidbits!!

Thought that was a catchy name! Well Mr. Dalton woke up at 6am. I got him & put him in my bed & made him lay down with me until 7am. I want his clock to get set for 7am or LATER if possible. Poor boy was wet again, I think that is why he woke up. I wish I could figure out how to keep him from getting soaking wet. He is such a sweet boy. We were at a store today & a little boy about 2 or 3 was standing with his mother & Dalton was making all kinds of noises to get him to smile at him. The little boy just looked at him like "I am not going to smile so stop"! Well Dalton just smiled & laughed at him. He loves to see other little children & smile at them. It is so cute. Can't wait until he is old enough to play with other children. He is so social just like ME!

Dalton slept until almost 7am again. YEA! Maybe the worm has turned on this sleeping thing for now. I believe we have more teeth coming. The 2 next to the top 2 teeth. Randa & Keller came over yesterday & we had a fun day swimming. I can't wait until Dalton gets walking so he & Keller can play together. Dalton really likes Keller, he just watched him & wanted to touch him. Dalton is a little rough, he is a baby & does not understand the pulling hair thing yet. He will learn. Looking forward to a day with little rain!!!! I HOPE! God we love the rain but could you PLEASE hold off for a few days.

WOW!!!

OK I hope this is a new trend with Dalton. It was 7am again!!!! Gosh I have not had this much sleep since before I was pregnant!! It is going to be a great day today! Everyone have one too!

GREAT NIGHT SLEEP FOR MOMMY!!!

Well Dalton sleep from 8:30am until 7am this morning!! YEA!!! He is such a good boy. Daddy was off today for the first time in over 15 days!! YEA Dalton is so excited to see his daddy in the morning!! He missed that.

9 months today!!!!

Dalton is 9 months today, I can not believe it!!! It feels like yesterday that he was born. I just think he is the best kid ever!! Despite the night wakings, he is just perfect. He is an angel most of the time. He is becoming such a hugger. This morning I got him out of bed (at 6:45am YEA) after sleeping all night & he hugged me for the longest time. It is priceless!!! I can just see him running around! That will be sooner then I want I think. I am already planning his birthday. I think I am going to do the cars theme. Daddy & him love to watch Nascar so I think that would be appropriate. But He also loves Disney clubhouse so I will have to think on it. The lady that made my beautiful shower cake is going to make his one year cake. She is going to also make a special little one for him to smash!! Gotta love that! Well off to get ready for the day!!!

What a great day so far with Dalton. He has been great! I found out he likes hash browns. The Dr said I could give him big people food as long as it is one item. No Hamburger helper yet!! All that know me know I can't cook!!! He is taking a nap right now. What a good boy. Have a wonderful & blessed day everyone!

Saturday Blues!!

Well Darrel is working for his 13 day in a row!!! I like some alone time but this is getting to be abit much. I think Dalton really misses him too because when he comes home around 8pm he stays up until 10pm to play with him. We try to put him down but he just wants to play with Daddy. Next weekend will be great, Darrel will be off & we can have some family time. Because the following weekend is when I go to my Scrapbooking retreat. I am really looking forward to it. I think I have all my supplies ready. I am going to get some sleep. Everyone says you won't want to sleep but they don't have a teething 9 month old! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT!

Ok I may never sleep again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is 1am & I am up. Dalton is getting up every night now! I don't know what to do. I let him cry while I stood over his bed. I rubbed his back & finally (so I thought) he fell asleep. I went into bed & about 10 mins. later boom he was crying again! I am at the end of my rope! We have been playing this game for 3 weeks now. I don't know if it is teeth or what! I gave him motrin when he woke up. He is in our bed now which means I can't sleep. I am scared I will roll over on him. I don't want him thinking he can sleep in our bed. I went from having a kid that sleep great through the night to one that DOESN'T!!!!!! I just want to scream!!! Ok I have vented now. Now I will go to the couch (my new bed) & hope to get a couple hours of sleep!!! HAHA!!!!!!!!!

Teething Tuesday!!

Ok, I think that we have 2 more teeth coming in. The one's on each side of the 2 front teeth. There are bumps & I can see some white. That would explain the getting up during the night. My poor boy is getting all his teeth so close together. Hope they let up some. He took a 3 hour nap today!!

Cleaning Monday!!

Well today I am cleaning (or suppose to be). Dalton is at Grandma's house. I am trying to do some through cleaning while I don't have a baby under foot!! Poor boy this morning's nap he got his legs caught in the bars of his bed & could not get them out. He cried & cried. He was not injured just scared. I guess the more they move the more spots he will get in & not be able to get out. It's all a learning process for him. Well I better get back to cleaning!!!! Time is a wasting!!

Missing Daddy!

Darrel has a shut-down at work (he works at a chemical plant) & he has been there all weekend long. Dalton misses him I think. He came home tonight & he just smiled & squealed. Dalton's sister Maeve is coming over this week. We are really excited about that. I am too because I need a break from being the holder of the baby for awhile. He is needy right now & my back is giving out!!!! She loves him so much & will have a great time with him.

Friday the 13th!!!

Well I took Dalton to the DR., of course I was being paranoid!! Said I was but you know better safe then sorry! She said that this is the time they start to get dreams (good or bad ones). Also she said also that because he is not eating food just formula that he could be hungrier. So that eased my fears. He also has the rash that he has under his neck from drooling forever. She gave me a prescription creme for that. Hope that helps. He is 30" long & weighs 27 lbs. Boy he is going to be a strapping man!! He is my chubbier! I just love him the way he is. I get all the time WOW he is so big for his age. You know people really need to keep their comments to themselves. I sometimes get my feelings hurt. I am more sensitive then most people would think. If you know me you would not think so. I really don't care what people think about my baby boy. You know he is mine & if he is chunky so what. I say worry about yourself & your own family. Ok enough about that!! He had a great day. We had a long day at the Dr.'s office. She takes forever to see but she is very helpful & takes time to make sure all your questions are answers. I hate a DR. that rushes you!! Especially when it is about your child. If it was me oh well!! Good night to all!

HOT HOT Thursday!

First it is sooooooo HOT & HUMID here!!!! You walk outside & just start sweating. My deodorant is working overtime here!! The pool water is 90 degrees! GREAT for just jumping in. Feels wonderful! Today was a good nap day for Dalton. He slept for 3 hours this afternoon. He went down for bedtime by 8pm. Hoping he does NOT WAKE UP before 6:30am!!! We will see! I am taking him to the DR tomorrow. I have his 9 month check the first week of August but I am just concerned about him not wanting to eat from a spoon & sleeping issues. I want to make sure that he does not have an ear infection. I guess I am paranoid actually I know I am!!! I just love him so much & don't want him to be uncomfortable. I am sure that he is perfectly normal but better safe then sorry! He is so sweet he is hugging alot now. He is trying to give kisses but you all know that they are open mouth!! HaHa! He is rocking still but no crawling yet. I am sure when he does I will say "OH I wish he was still rocking" I see little kids walking & think soon enough soon enough! Right now I have total control over where he is. He is still a little clingy!!! I feel like the only person on earth with a baby that wakes up in the middle of the night! I know I am not but is hard to think otherwise. Well good night to all!!!

Long Night!

Well Dalton got up about 12:30am and stayed up until about 2:30am. Don't know what his problem was. I of course did not go back to sleep. So I have had about 1 hours sleep & not in the best of moods! Being a parent is really hard!!!!!!!!! Especially in the middle of the night! He stopped eating baby food & will only eat what he can put in his mouth. He goes to the Dr. for his nine month checkup soon, I am so glad because I have lots of questions! Hope he takes a nap today so I can too! It is a long time before Daddy gets home.

I just know that Dalton will be crawling or trying to walk soon. He is so active. When you hold him he moves allot! Boy his teeth are really taking shape now! His 2 top teeth are almost all the way down now. Again I did not realize how long they take to come in. He got to swim on Sunday for the first time in about a week and a half because of all the rain we have had. This is the most rain we have got in the summer that I can ever remember. Usually we are praying for the rain, now we are praying for it to stop for awhile. Thank goodness we have not had too many mosquito's. They are usually really bad after rain. Dalton sleep until 6:20am Sunday morning. I hope he does the same or better today. He stopped eating baby food for some reason. He just wants to eat finger foods right now. He eats crackers, cut up fruit & some of those graduate wheels. I read that they sometimes refuse baby food & just want to eat what they can put in their mouths. Who knows! If he keeps this up I guess I will call the doctor. He will not starve to death!! Have a great day everyone!

Dog Lover in the making!

Well what a great day today. We were at my parents & Dalton hugged their dog Lily. It was so cute, he just bend over & hugged her. We were all surprised. We got a picture of it. He loves her, she is so fun running after her toy. I think he will be a real dog lover. He does love bailey too. Bailey watches over him all the time. When I answer the door Bailey stays by Dalton to guard him. What great buddies they are going to be. I got Dalton this Zebra that he can ride & it rolls. Of course we have to roll him but when he gets the hang of it he will be all over the house. Well he is in bed & I am working on his scrapbook. I hope to have it caught up soon. I am glad I started it now & did not wait years to do it. It is hard to remember stuff & it has only been a little over 8 months. Years & I would be in trouble! Glad I started this!

Happy 4th of July!!

Well this was Dalton's First 4th of July!

It was a Rainy day here, we went to Grandma's & Grandpa's and had lunch.

Glad Dalton is small this 4th because of the rain he is not going to get to see fireworks! We took this picture after a walk, the short time it was not rainy.

Next year he will just love them more anyway!!

LONG NIGHTS!

Boy Dalton used to be such a good sleeper but for about a week now he has become a terrible sleeper! I don't know if it is his teeth or what!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could figure it out. But right now it is 1 am & I am up because he just woke up!! I am so tired! I feel like I will never sleep well again! I thought it might be his teeth but who knows. He can't tell me & I guess I am not a tuned in mother yet because I can't figure it out!!! I get sick of hearing mother's say oh my baby has always sleep great!! Well aren't you lucky!!! But don't tell a person that is having trouble that you did not!!! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! Make them feel worse then they already do!! Please God let me sleep again!!!!!

Monday's are long!!

Dalton is starting to be very NEEDY!! I can hardly leave the room without him crying! He is also starting to be hard to get down for naps. He is easy at night but naps are getting hard again. He was so good until about a week ago. I don't know what I am doing wrong. It might be his teeth but it could be me. He is still a sweet boy & happy except when naps come. He won't go down until he is really tired. Tomorrow Dalton is going to spend a few hours with Grandma & Grandpa. He will have a blast!

Crawfish Boil!

Well we went it was hot but fun! Dalton did great. He was a perfect angel. Everyone thought he was great. What a good boy! Now we are off to Grandma's!!

My 2nd day at the scrapbooking thing!!!

Well, I am hooked! I love scrapbooking. It is relaxing & a nice way to capture the memories of your family. Dalton got to spend the evening with Dad. They had fun playing on the floor. It was raining so no swimming in the pool. He does love that & it has been a couple of days because of all the rain we have had here. Tomorrow we go to a crawfish boil. Hope they have more then crawfish, I don't like it!! Darrel is so excited he just loves crawfish! This will be Dalton's first crawfish boil. Lots of insect repellent & sunscreen & we will be set! Hope to have some pictures from it posted soon.

Dalton knows how to give FIVE now. It is so cute. He just slaps hands when we say "give me five". What a smart boy!! He gets better & better everyday!!

NEW STUFF TODAY!!

Well Dalton pulled himself up today! He did not stand well when he got up but he got up!!! He is really rocking now!!! I hope crawling is soon too! It is so exciting now, it seems like everyday something new happens. But on the other hand he is growing up. :( What a good day today! Oh of course he is still saying "DADA" now all the time!! Ok enough now "MAMA"!!!! Go Boy! Mama loves you! UPDATE: When Daddy was changing Dalton for bedtime on the changing table Dalton grabbed the edge of the table & pulled himself up!!! We put him in his bed & he grabbed the side of the bed & did the same thing. He is not real good at standing yet (could be the fat feet) but he will get there!

Said "DaDa"!!!

Well I sure did want him to say MaMa first but I am glad he said "DaDa"! Daddy is so proud!! He is a daddy's boy. He is also rocking back & forth now. Hopefully he will be crawling soon. He is rolling all over the place. He does not like to stay in one place long. He is growing tired of his bouncy seat! I love that thing, it lets me get stuff done. I am going to be said when we have to say goodbye to it & hello play yard!! Soon Soon! We officially have the 4th tooth, it has broken the surface and making it's appearance now! Yea, maybe it will be smooth sailing for awhile.

Great day with Dalton!

What a great day today! Dalton woke up at 7am which with the dumb teeth thing is great. He is just all smiles today! I look forward to more great days like this with my wonderful son. I think he said "DaDa". We heard it & so did my parents (his grandparents). He talks so much more now!! He is going to be just like his mother!!!!

Off to Grandma's house we go!!!

I am so excited because Dalton is going to spend the afternoon with his Grandparents! What special times they are having & going to have in the future. I remember when I would spend the summers over at my Grandparents house & have blast! They would give me just about whatever my heart wanted at the time. (mostly food) We are on the other hand cleaning out the garage so Darrel can get his truck in the garage & out from in from of our house. We are trying to fit a car, truck & motorcycle in a two car extended garage! Good luck to us!! I hate having cars on the street. I think it is rude to other people backing out of their driveways & such. Dalton had a rough night last night again. That one tooth is really a bugger! Everyone please pray that tooth will come in soon to give that baby some relief (and mom)! Now we are off to Dalton's other Grandparent's house! What a full day of Grandparents he has today! What a lucky kid!!! Grandpa Buddy & Grandma Jo are taking us out to dinner. We are glad we get to go down & see them. They live further so Dalton does not get to see them as often as my parents. So this is nice. Have a great evening everyone!

Thought I would never do it!!

Ok for all that know me I said I would never scrapbook! Well you know the saying "Never say Never!" I am scrapbooking & really enjoying it. I went for the first time today then tonight until about 11:30pm. Wow it was fun & I got out!!! I am so excited to make him a book that he can look back on. I am not as good as some of those scrapbookers out there but I am learning. Great Fun Tonight for Mommy! Poor Dalton the last few nights he as woke up about 1 to 2 hours after he goes down just crying. His teeth are really bothering him I think. I can't image it is anything else but those darn teeth. He is such a sweet calm boy that for him to just be cranky there has to be a reason. I wish I could get him to chew on one of those teethers. He just hates them. I have been giving him biter cookies but I don't think they are hard enough. Well all is well here at Dalton's house!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Glad today is almost over!

Boy what a LONG day today! I don't feel that great & Dalton's teeth must be acting up today. So glad when daddy walked thru the door! He was a sight for sore eyes. Dalton took good naps but when he was awake he was very needy! Most days I can put him down to play & he does so nicely. Not today! He played in his bouncy chair, then his pack-in-play for a short time. Then it was mommy hold me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well I am going to get in the bath tub & soak my tired body!!! Tomorrow is another day.

What a long day mommy had today!! Dalton did not take long naps today. That darn tooth on the top right is really bothering him. His teeth seem to come in sloooooowwwwww! Poor guy. He is just really uncomfortable. He does not cry just wants attention from Mommy! Mommy is TIRED! Daddy has been working late for awhile & so I have been going 24/7! Well enough complaining for me! I am sure Dalton would say "I am the one doing the hard work, the teeth the teeth!" I am so blessed & need to focus on that! I am really wanting to work on his scrapbook. I am already almost 8 months behind. Dalton turns 8 months on Sunday. Wow has the time gone by fast. Next thing I know he is going to be graduating from High School. I will be OLD! What a great Father's Day!!

Well this was Dalton's first father's day! He was really good to his Daddy. He got him a new swimming suit & shirt. He loves to swim with Dad so he wanted to make sure he had enough suits! Dalton & I went to my parnets to wish my Dad (Grandpa) & Great Grandpa a happy father's day. Dalton was good. He had not had a nap so was a little tired toward the end of the visit. Fell asleep within 5 minutes of driving home. Dalton, Daddy & his 2 sisters went swimming yesterday inspite of the cloudy weather. They had a blast. I took some video I just have to learn how to put it on the web. Don't count on seeing that anytime soon. I am not that computer savvy! Hope all the father's out there had a great day!!! I think mine did & I know Dalton's Daddy did because he has Dalton & his 3 girls!!!

Day with his Sisters!

Dalton has been in heaven today spending the day with 2 of his 3 sisters Laura & Dayna! (Miss you Maeve) They just think he is great as he does them! He smiles at them everytime they are around him. I love that they are going to be close to him! He will love having 3 sisters to look after him. We were going to swim but it rained most of the day. Hoping tomorrow it will hold off! He is being such a good boy with the teething. It has got to be bad but he never cries! I think he is going to be one strong individual. We went shopping & to Chickfla with his sisters. They got to see how good he is out. Then when we got home we gave him a bath & he is now sleeping. What a good boy! Daddy is at work so that is a bummer. Hoping he is home soon.

Wow, believe it or not we are working on our fourth tooth! When my baby does something he does it all the way!!! The other upper middle tooth is on it's way out! I saw a glimpse of it under the skin today. I bet tomorrow we will be sticking out! Well I think when he decides he is going to move he might just go to walking & skip crawling! Let's hope not! I need a break after this tooth thing! He will be eating meat soon right off the bone!! Can you say spareribs!!! He is so cute when he smiles you get a glimmer of each tooth now. He is a changing boy!!! He is growning up! :(

More Tooth Drama!!

Well now we have another tooth breaking thru the gums. This is now 3 teeth! The other day I was thinking the other bottom one was coming but not sure. Today it is peeking out. He is such a tooth trooper. Other then not taking a morning nap he is doing great! He did sleep for about 2 hours this afternoon. He started eating biter biscuits & loves them. They are great when we are eating dinner to keep him happy. Then he is eating with us! He gets his dinner first.

Well yesterday was a little grumpy for Dalton, I guess the top tooth is giving him problems. It is still not all the way thru the gum. Today he is a little clingy! He is trying to be a good boy but has his moments. Thank goodness for Acetaminophen & orajel. They help some! He is really likes playing on the floor now. I look forward to crawling. We are working on that! We went to lunch with Luann today & he was so good! He just loved her! What is not to love, Luann is a great person. Miss her being around more. He is eating those biter cookies now, boy are they messy!!!!!!!! YUCK, you can see I put in capitals! Cleaning up is a job in it's self. Dalton does not like his face to be wiped. He is giggling more & more everyday. Getting him to smile is so much easier then it used to be. I am sure everyone can remember when your baby was first smiling you did some strange faces just to get one smile out of them! Then it was gone in a second! So that was alot of work. Much easier now! Yea! Enough rambling bed time!

NEW TOOTH MONDAY!

Well Monday seems to be the day Dalton has teeth coming in. The only other tooth was on Memorial Day which was a Monday. This new one next to the lone tooth is just about to break thru! Yesterday he was a littl fussy. Today he has been good so far. I can tell it is a little sensitive & swollen.

What a trooper he is! I know this is why the have teeth come in before we can talk or there would be alot of complaining going on in!!!

NOON Today: Well guess what I just found!! A tooth coming in on the top of his mouth!! Boy we did not even know it was there! Grandpa saw it on my birthday but we did not pay attention to it! But sure enough he was right!! So we are working on 2 teeth at once.

Dalton & I went swimming today. He had a great time! He loves the waterfall! He laughs when I put him in the floaty next to it!

He was a good boy today in spite of his teeth! Another great Dalton Day!

Mom's Birthday!

Boy today was the best birthday ever! Because I have Dalton! He is a joy. He is cutting his second tooth so he has been a little cranky today. We had lunch with Grandpa, Grandma & Great Grandpa today! It was wonderful. Grandma & Grandpa are great, they gave us a gift card for the plant store. We got some great plants for by the pool. We are trying to make it look tropical! That is our little piece of heaven back there. We are so blessed to have the pool! Glad Dalton has it to grow up in. It is so darn hot here. Today it was about 93 but seemed like 104. It is so humid you sweat the minute you step out the door! Dalton sure does love his grandparents! He lights up when he sees them! Grandpa lights up when he sees him too!!! Glad they are so close so they have a great relationship with him! I loved my visits with my grandparents. I still have my Grandfather who is great but I sure do miss my Granny!! She would have loved Dalton. I wish she could have seen him. Although she can see him from heaven it would have been nice for him to meet her! Dalton is sure pooped! He is taking a nap right about now! Hope he sleeps longer then 5:30am like he did this morning tomorrow!!! Well this has been a great day!! My birthday was spent with the ones I love!! Doesn't get better then this!

Dalton went to the park yesterday!

We had a great day at the park today. Dad, Mom & Dalton walked to the park. What a long walk that is. It was hot!!

But Dalton got to swing. This is his second time to swing & he seems to like it.

He did not nap much either. So this morning he

was up at 5:30am! YUCK!

I guess they change sleeping habits for a long while. I guess I thought they when they learned to sleep thru the night they would do that forever unless they were sick or teething! Boy did I live in a fantasy land!

He is such a good boy 99% of the time. He never crys & I do mean never crys. Sometimes he whines when he is sleepy but no big time crying! He is just a good boy! He has such a good personality I look forward to his older years. I hope he stays calm & easy!

We also went swimming which he loves!!

Mom's getway trip!

I went with Grandma & Grandpa away for a day & night. I was so excited to go & had a wonderful time. BUT I did not realize how much I would miss him when I was gone. :`( Guess I really am a mother! Sometimes I can't believe I am but yesterday proved it for me!! I missed him like people need air!!! Darrel & Dalton had a wonderful time together! They are a cute pair! Dalton is starting to really move about his crib. When I go in to get him in the mornings he is usually on his side or stomach now. I can't wait for him to be standing & looking for me!! That is going to be priceless!

Working on Teeth!

Wow we are still working on the same tooth from Memorial Day! It is a slow one! It is coming in on it's own time! I guess that is how teeth are. He is such a trooper with the tooth! I am working on getting a picture with it showing. Being it is so small it is hard to see! My camera is also acting up!

Pool Time with Mommy!

Another great day with Dalton! June 6, 2007. Darrel had to work late again so Dalton & I took another walk around the neighborhood with Bailey (the dog) then got in the pool. Dalton loves the pool!! He splashes & splashes! I feel so blessed!! I can't say that enough. After we got out of the pool we sat at the table outside for awhile to dry off & just played. He is so happy sometimes just doing nothing. We went in & he ate his favorite apples with some chicken, a whole jar today! Then I gave him a bath & he had a bottle & went to bed early about 7:40pm. Almost 1 hour earlier. We will see what time he wakes up today. He woke up yesterday around 6:15am. I am wishing he would keep it to about 7 am or later. I love to sleep in!! Have not done that in awhile.

Yesterday's News!

I forgot to write yesterday so here is how it went. Dalton & I were on our own yesterday because Daddy worked late. Dalton was great he napped twice. His tooth is working it's way up slowly! He has started to put his hands up to pick him up. What a great boy he is! I can't say it enough. He is getting more loving everyday too. He really gets cuddly when he is sleepy, love that time with him. Grandma & Grandpa came over in the evening & played with him then he got a bath. They had not seen him in the big tub yet. He is so cute, loves to play in the tub.

Baptism Day

What a wonderful day today! Our son was Baptised today! What a great kid we have! He is so sweet & happy all the time. We had everyone that was at the Baptism over for hamburgers & dessert! Dalton got in the pool! Boy he loves the pool. I am so gald he loves the water. He splashes around in his floaty! Glad we have a pool for him to grow up with! The Godparents are wonderful people. We could not ask for better then them! The Grandparents are wonderful too!! They love him sooooo much! He loves them alot too! I am so blessed to have such a great family! I thank God everyday for them. Everyone should be so blessed. He has a tooth coming in, boy it is slow!!! It has been coming in since last Sunday & still is not all the way out! Little sucker is slooooowwwww! He has been a trooper though! I am excited about this blog because I can write down daily things Dalton does so I don't forget them!
