Blog Makeover & Comments!

OK I am getting a blog makeover! I really love blogging but my blog needs some serious help! For some reason all the items on the right side of my blog fell to the bottom below all my postings. Don't know how that happened just did! I am sort of computer dumb so I probably did something to it. If anyone knows how to fix it I would appreciate letting me know! Thanks in advance. I also put comments back up on my blog. I took them down for awhile but I am so excited about my blog makeover I am ready to get some comments on it! I promise I will be posting Dalton's 2 year pictures soon.

CHICKEN STRIKE....

Along with most other things! We have a chicken strike at our house now. Dalton used to like chicken but now NOT! I don't understand kids eating habits. He used to eat all the veggies & fruits in the form of baby food but NOT now! He won't even try stuff. And you know that you can't make a 2 year old eat if they don't want to. They don't get the take stuff away or grounding thing. I am not going to be the type that makes him eat what is on his plate but goodness at least give it a try! If anyone has tips I would love them. Because he hardly eats anything that is good for him. He does eat yogurt at least! I am so sick of making food & him not even wanting it. So I have a policy now that what I put on your plate is what you get & if you don't like it there will be another meal in a few hours!!! I am not a short order cook & this is not a cafeteria. I have to admit that us parents don't eat well. We at least eat a few veggies & some fruit. I wish Dalton would. I give him things over & over but he says "I don't like it!" again without even trying it. Enough about this I am sure you are bored by now. So I am off to bed, maybe I will dream up a good way to get him to eat. PS: I have even tried the cookbook that has you hide the fruits & veggies in brownies & other great food. It is good but again he won't eat it!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Dalton is somewhat green today. He is under the weather. He has a cough. Dalton still wakes up in such a good mood even when he is feeling under the weather. After lunch I asked Dalton if he was tired he said yes! I said when I clean up we will put you to bed. I put up his plate then looked in the living room & he was gone. I looked in his room & he was laying on a pillow on the floor going to sleep. I sat down & he feel right to sleep. I put him up in his bed & he did not even move. That would be a first for Dalton. My boy does not go to bed willingly! I hope he feels better soon. His sisters are coming over today. Maeve is coming in from College. She graduates this May! We are so happy for her to be done with school. She has applied for a job in another city. I am excited for her to spread her wings & fly! She is so responsible & will do great in whatever she does. I hope my boy stays asleep for a few hours to help him get better. He usually sleeps 3 hours. Yesterday he sleep zero minutes for a nap! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it was a long day with a boy that did not nap. Nana & Papa came over & we went to our favorite restaurant Los Cucos for food & margaritas! Well I only have 1 because I am a cheap date! I hope everyone has a great St. Patrick's Day!

Tooooooo Smart!

We were driving home tonight from running some errands & Dalton pipes up from the back seat "Almost home"! He is so smart. Everyday he amazing me with the knowledge that he has. Some of the stuff I think where did he learn that. Wow he is such a sponge. We went to Chuck E Cheeses today! He loves that place. I guess what is not to love food & games! They don't put on a show like they used to. I miss that from my childhood. It is rainy & cold now. Just yesterday I had the a/c on because it was in the high 80's. Now the heat. Come on weather make up your mind. I have had a cold since last week. Dalton has a cough but is much better then me. I am coughing my brains out! If you know what I mean. My parents went out of town today & we went to their house to pick something up. We went in & Dalton was asking where is Nana & Papa???? He walked all over the house looking for them. We left & he whimpered & said "I miss Nana & Papa" It was so sad. Yesterday at school he was telling everyone that his sisters were coming over. The teacher asked him what their names were. He said "Dayna & Laura" then she asked how many sisters do you have & he said "NINE"! How funny is that. Monday he was on the playground in a car & was talking on the play phone in the car & the teacher asked who he was talking to. He said "Mommy" she said "Is she at work?" he said "No she is shopping" then he said "Bye bye Mommy" & hung up the phone. He is so funny! He is getting such an imagination now. I love to listen to him when he does not think anyone is. He plays with his trains (he is obsessed with them) & talks to them. We are working on his big boy room. It is the Thomas the Train theme room. Of Course! Like I said he is obsessed with trains now. He knows about 75% of all the Thomas the trains there are. When you buy a Thomas the train there are flyer's in each one with all the current trains & tracks in them. We have a ton of those. He carries them around & reads them (or I read them) all the time. We go over the trains each day at least 3 times. If you say to him is this say "James" & it is not he will correct you with the right name of the train. I have found these great standing street signs at Toys * us! There is a railroad sign & stop sign I am going to get for his room. I am also getting this great wall mural that we are going to get. Also a switch plate & some other great stuff for his room.

Well I took some cold medicine & it is kicking in now so I better go to bed! I will try to put on some pictures of the room in progress soon.

Goodnight all!

Rodeo Day at school!

OK I have to admit that my boy is the cutest! This week at school was rodeo week. I dressed my little cowboy up & off he rode to school on Monday. He got to ride a pony too! Today was picture day & was so excited about it. Daddy & Dalton went to the park after school & flew a kite! He loved it for about 10 mins. I guess a 2 year old does not have a long attention span. He is such a good boy! I know that I say that all the time & everyone that reads this probably says "STOP" Saying that because you are the mother & you are suppose to think that. But he is so good! He does not give us problems, all of my friends say he is great too. Daddy has retired from his job after 31.5 years. So he has been home since last Friday. Dalton is loving it. He will be returning to work soon which scares me because Dalton is getting used to us both being home with him. They have such a great bond! He LOVES his daddy so much.
What a cute cowboy!
