HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

So it is time to say goodbye to another year tonight. Wow! 2009 is upon us in full force. I am looking for it to be a great year in spite of our "change" in Washington. I am going to stay positive about that! I have not said anything on this blog about politics because it is about Dalton. But then again it is my blog & my thoughts so I can say whatever I want to. I guess I don't have a choice but to be positive, because it is going to happen regardless of my vote. Let's see if America really likes the "change" that is coming! OK enough of that depressing talk. I see Dalton changing in so many ways. He is becoming such a young boy. He is saying lots of new words everyday. He will repeat most any word if you ask him too. (be careful what you ask for) He said puzzles yea yesterday it was so cute. He is starting to say more then one word at a time now. I think I see sentences in our near future. My poor DH, his company is going thru changes. They were suppose to have a joint venture with another company on January 1st & it fell thru. It was going to mean lots more money for us. So that is a bit of a bummer. But as my mother always says "God has something really good in store for us!" I know that my God is good & he will make this up to us 100 fold. My DH's dad is in ICU today until Friday because he has had some heart attacks since Christmas. He is having a stint (not sure of the spelling) put in on Friday. I feel bad for him that he has to spend New Year's in the hospital but we are grateful that he is on the road to recovery. He is a sweet man & we want to have allot more years with him. So in closing for 2008 I am grateful for my wonderful family, that my DH has a job & we have a wonderful home & good friends! I wish everyone was as lucky as me. I am also grateful that I can be a stay at home mom to a wonderful son that I waited over 13 years to have.

Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas to all my friends & family. I sit here listening to my son & stepdaughters playing in the living room. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family. We had Christmas this morning at Nana & Papa's house. Great Grandfather was there too. We had a great time. Dalton helped everyone open their gifts. He was so cute. He even passed out the gifts to the people they needed to go to. What a wonderful helper elf I have. He loved all the things he got. He especially loved the helicopter that him & dad got. They are going to have lots of fun with that. I love this time of year because I know how blessed I am to have such a wonderful son. I could not have picked a better kid. He was really sick last week & was wonderful thru it all. He had pneumonia, ear infection in both ears & his 2 year molars coming in. What a trooper!! Well I will post some pictures later.

Wrapping & shopping & Sickness!

WOW we went & did some quick shopping this morning. I wish I was done!!! I now have to do some wrapping. I am a procrastinator BIG TIME! I wait till the last minute all the time. I guess it is in my personality (as they say)! I should be done with my shopping. I have such a hard time finding things for people that they will want. I don't want to buy something that someone will just throw in their closet & never use. Money is too tight these days for that. On another note poor Dalton ended up having double ear infections, pneumonia & I found this morning he is cutting his 2 year molars. Poor little guy he has been hit hard. He loves his school which is only 2 days a week. But ever since he has started he has gotten sick. He was a healthy boy before school. People tell me that he is getting immune now. I hope so because he is sure being a trooper thru all of the snot & coughing. He is on the mend & doing much better today. We have a party on Monday with his friends so I hope he gets better this weekend.

Looking for the perfect Big Boy Bed!

We are on the hunt for the perfect big boy bed for Dalton. We went to St*r today & they had some great beds. We are going to get him a twin bed & just skip the toddler bed thing all together. The toddler bed we want is over $200. Well we can get a twin bed for about $500. So why waste the money on the toddler bed when he will grow out of it quickly. He is so tall that it would not last long. So we are thinking Feb or March for moving him. After the holidays. Here is the one we like the most! The Cottage Collection We are thinking just the headboard because I don't want to waste space with a foot board in his room. We have a dresser the same color so it would go great. Anyway we are excited about making his room a big boy room. He loves trains so I am thinking about making it a vehicles theme room. He is growing up!!
