Back to Birthday Plans!

OK we went to a bounce place here in town & it would be over $300 just to bounce & have pizza. Not including the cake! So we are going to rent a 3 in 1 moonwalk & put it in the driveway. We can order pizza & have cake! YEA! It will be nice here in October. Not too hot or too cold. So I am really excited! Here is what it will look like. Notice it has a slide too! He loves the slide. We are teaching him he is going to be 2 & to hold up 2 fingers. He is getting it down fast. He is such a big boy!!

1st Dentist Visit for Big D!!

I took Dalton for his first Dentist visit today. I really want to make sure we are doing everything right for his teeth. Darrel & I have bad teeth so we want to make sure Dalton does not go thru what we have with fillings & such. He did great. They were so nice & he has 16 teeth & the 2 year molars should be coming within 3 months. Then we are done with teeth issues for awhile. He said that Dalton's teeth looked great. So we are headed in the right direction with him on the Dentist front!

2nd birthday party plans!!

OH my I did not know how hard planning a kids party would be. I want to take him to the jumping place but it is rather expensive for a 2 year old party. So I am really thinking about just having it here at the house. I want to do the Thomas the Train theme. Dalton just loves trains!! Too bad I can't bring in a real train (ha ha). Nothing too big for my boy. So if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them!! I have just 2 months to plan & execute!!

Wasp Sting!

**UPDATE** Dalton is doing much better today. His foot looks good! You can still see where the wasp stung him but he feels no pain from it. What a trooper! OH MY GOODNESS my POOR little BOY stepped on a wasp this evening! OH was it horrible for both boy & mom!! It stung him between the toes! Dumb wasp. At first we did not know what happened. We were getting him ready for bed when he walked towards our room it must have flown in when we had the door open today going in & out. We did not see it & neither did Dalton. He came screaming & hopping over to us & I thought he might have stepped on a pin or something. We finally got a look at his foot & saw the sting. It took awhile to calm him down & take care of the foot. His little foot turned red & his toe swelled up. So we fixed him up & let him stay up awhile to make sure he was not allergic. Now he is in bed sleeping it off. Poor baby! POOR MOMMY!! My first real trauma. We have had a busted lip but this was much worse. I need some sleep now too!

Fun Birthday Party!

Wow Dalton got to go to a fun birthday party yesterday. One of his playgroup buddies turned 2 yesterday. There was a petting zoo & pony rides. At first Dalton did not want to ride the pony but after awhile playing with the animals in the petting zoo he got comfortable. He actually rode the pony. He was so cute!! You know that has got to be scary for them being they are so little & the animal is so big. I can't wait to have his 2nd birthday party. Still in the planning stages!! Thinking jumping place or maybe even little gym where he used to go!

Swimming Lessons!!

***UPDATE***: Today the teacher said that he might move up in late September early October. She will let me know in mid September. WOW my little fish!! Dalton is doing great at swimming. He has been in since the first of July. We are going to keep him in until November then start him up after the first of the year. He was only in the first class 2 times then they moved him up. He will move up to the class where I will be outside when he turns 2. He is great at getting the rings off the bottom of the pool. He can even float on his back for a short time. He is a fish at heart. I think having a pool in the backyard helps too. We have had so much rain lately we have not swam in our pool in over a week! We are getting restless!! We have to get all we can in before it gets cool!

Fish Fry!!

We had a fish fry today. BOY was the fish good. Dalton liked it too. I was surprised because he does not want to eat much these days. Darrel had went fishing with some friends & they caught lots of fish. We had Flounder today. He fried it with some french fries & hush puppies. Grandma, Grandpa & Great Grandpa came over to enjoy the fish. Then we hopped in the pool to cool off. Hats off to Daddy for a great lunch!!

Down at the Boardwalk!!

Wow was it HOT at the Boardwalk!! It was about 100 degrees but felt like about 110 degrees! We took Dalton & his big sister Laura down for some fun by the water & rides. We rode the train & a couple of other rides. Dalton only liked the train. The other 2 rides were to much for him. He does not like the ones that moves around allot where he feels out of control. The train is like a car so he is OK with it. He loved the train. We ate at Joe's crab shack & went to the Aquarium. He loves the fish. Here are some pictures from our fun family day!

Fun Swim Day with Sisters!! - Updated with Pictures!

Boy does Dalton love his sisters. I know they love him. His big sister Laura came over to watch him while I had a luncheon to go to. His other big sis Dayna brought her over. They had a fun time playing in the pool. I will upload some pictures when Dayna sends them over to me. I have a funny story about his sister Laura when she put him down for a nap she put him in the crib with just a diaper on. (BIG MISTAKE) I came home shortly after he went down & had to get something out of his room & looked in the crib & AHHHHHHHHHH no diaper. He was fast asleep on his side butt naked!! Wish I could have gotten a picture of that but he is a light sleeper & he would have woke up. Well 2 hours later he got up & he was dry. Thank goodness for sister!!! She would have had a big mess to clean up. So now we leave bottoms over the diaper for sure!! He is learning new tricks everyday. He is taking swim lessons (or should I say we are taking lessons). He is doing great. They have him underwater alot. I get to be in the water with him. He is going 2 days a week. Monday's & Saturday's. Dad is going to take him from now on Saturday's. It is all men with their kids in the class. I am sure I cramped their style last Saturday when I was there. They throw rings in the bottom of the 3' section we use & they put them under to get one or more of the rings. Dalton has only had 4 classes & was able to pick up a ring on Saturday. He is such a quick study. Today after his nap I took off his shorts & let him run around with a diaper & shirt on in the house. Well I was doing something & he was playing in the living room (or his play room) & I came to check on him & his had taken off his diaper again!!! I can't leave him with just a diaper on anymore now. Daddy has been on a shutdown at work. He works a chemical company & they have been working until about 10pm everynight since last Tuesday. So we have been on our own. I have noticed that Dalton has become more clingy to me in the last week in a half since we have been on our own. We went last Friday & ate lunch with Daddy & Laura at Fuddruckers. Dalton (I mean Darrel) loves that place. HAHA Sorry I have been lacking in posting. But the little time I have had to myself I have to clean or other things I can't do when the little man is up!!

Happy July!!

Well what a fun summer so far. Dalton spent the night away from Mommy & Daddy for the first time on Thursday Night! I know I know everyone is saying WHAT! Just now spending the night away from home but the answer is yes. Mommy is a bit of a control FREAK!
Dalton had a great time at Grammy & Grampy's house. They went on a parade on July 4th morning in their neighborhood. There was a fire engine & police cars. They decorated his wagon & he was also in the parade. What a fun time he had. He was POOPED when he got home to us.
So he has a date to spend the night next weekend too!! YEA!
Grammy & Grampy are going out of town for a week so they need to get their Dalton fix before they go. They are going to Washington DC. Wish we were all going! Darrel has a shutdown he has to be on for two weeks. So this means it will be Mommy & Son time.
Daddy & Dalton are out shopping right now at the man places i.e. Home Depot & Academy! They love that stuff!!

Busy Summertime!

Well it has been a great (HOT) summer so far this year. Dalton really loves the outdoors which did I mention is really hot! Our electric bill has almost doubled & I have not even changed the theromstate. We swim most everyday. We went yesterday to the library for toddler time! WOW there were about 40 kids there. Dalton had a great time. He loves other kids. We are going to the waterpark that is in one of our local neighborhoods with his playgroup that meets every Wednesday. He has known those kids for almost a year now. He loves playing with them all. There is one that is kind of a bully but Dalton is so sweet he just moves on each time that kid is mean. I think Dalton is going to be the strong silent type of a guy. I hope!! He is sooo sweet & I don't want that to change. I know it might but I am praying hard that it does not. Well I better dry my hair before the sweet guy gets up this morning. Yesterday he slept until 9am!!

He just gets so excited when you come home on your motorcycle! He can't get out the door fast enough to see you. You guys have fun with bathtime & playtime. You read to him everynight & he loves it. Thanks for being such a great dad to our sweet boy!! Love You very much!!!

Wow I did not think it had been this long since I posted last! I guess I am not really good with the blogging thing. We are doing great. Dalton is wonderful. Now he is 19 months old AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! It is hard to believe. I got some great photos of him that were taken when I visited my neice last month.

I got the pictures back from the lady that took his 18 month pictures when we were at my neice's house. WOW she did a great job taking them!! I just love everyone of them & it is hard to choice my favorite.

I will post them in a slideshow because I can't chose which one to post. So be ready to sit down with a good snack for that post.

Nothing really exciting happening here in Texas! It is REALLLLLLYYYYYY HOT!!! Being in the pool is the only thing you really want to do outside. Dalton wants to be in the pool all the time!!!

Happy Memorial Day!!

Happy Memorial day everyone! I know most people are off today celebrating our military men & women! I am so proud to live here in the US. You heard & read about other countries & I am glad to have the freedom that I have. Dalton & I had a great time with my neice & her family. Dalton had someone to play with. Keller did not much like Dalton touching his stuff. I guess that is because he is about 1 year older then Dalton so that makes a difference. Dalton did ok with the sleeping thing after the first night. A new place is hard for anyone to get used to sleeping at let alone a boy that had sleeping issues for awhile. But again my boy overcame the task & did great!! I will post some pictures of him feeding the cows that they have in their backyard. We live in a subdivision so cows in the backyard are really different. I think I could live out in the country though. I would have to know that their was town within about 20 mins. I don't grocery shop well enough to live far from the store. Hope everyone enjoys their day off with their family. We had barbaque yesterday with my parents & grandfather. They came over to our house & we ate then got into the pool. I feel so blessed with my life. I have a wonderful family, husband & most of all SON!!

What a LONG week this has been!!

Wow what a long week this has been. I am going to the Chiropractor again tomorrow. I went on Wednesday. My back & hip are hurting (can you say 30lb kid)!!! Well on Monday Dalton, my stepdaughter Maeve & I are going to visit my niece. It is about a 4 hour drive to her house. We are so excited about going. Dalton will get to play with her son (cousin Keller). They are about the same size so they are going to have fun fun fun!! I get to play with her new baby!!! YEA, that will help ease the pain of not getting another one for myself. I am going to have his 18 month pictures taken when I get up there. Randa has a wonderful lady that takes pictures. We are going to be outside which I think will really be better for my active boy. I am going to get some shots with me & him alone, some with his cousins & some with his sister Maeve. She will love that since she says she is his favorite sister. I really am ok with only having one at this point. I am 38 almost 39 so I am TIRED out! I think I am a VERY lucky women & am happy to have my healthy VERY happy young man. He is just the love of my life. He is funny, sweet, loving & very active. He just goes goes & goes some more. We swam today for about 1-1/2 hours. He loves the water. I am going to sign him up in swim classes when I come back from my trip. Well he is asleep so I think I am going to do the same. I was up at 3am today!!! YUCK to that!

I am POOPED!!

Well I am a pooped mamma! I have just finished with working for 2 weeks. AHHHHHHHHHHHH. It was fun but I am glad for a break. Dalton got to spend this whole last week with his daddy!! YEA!!! They had a great time. I hope Dad knows now how hard I work while he is at his job!! We are going to Dad's Grandmother's 95th birthday next Saturday in LA! We are only going for the day so that will be a fast day! Dalton & I are going to see Randa on the 19th for a few days. He will get to play with his cousin. I am so excited that our neice is having a BOY! I have some clothes that I would love to give her. She is just going to love having a boy. I sure do. Well Dalton can do some imatations like a dog & snake. It is soooo cute. He will also laugh out loud if you ask him too. (sometimes not of cue). Well today is my grandfather's 85th birthday. Mother's day is on Sunday! I don't really know if Darrel has gotten me anything! OH well I have my baby boy & that is all that matters really on mother's day is that you can be with the one's you love!! So for all you mother's out there have a wonderful day!! If you are not a mother yet still have a wonderful day you deserve it!!

18 month checkup today!!

Dalton is doing great according to the DR. He checks out just fine! Which I knew he would. She said he is on the right track for everything he is doing. I was concerned because he does not talk as much as I thought he should. But I think part of that is my fault. I seem to get him stuff before he needs it. She said I need to let him ask for it. When we read I always say "where is the cow" instead of "what's that?" So I am going to work on doing more of that instead of jumping ahead to figure of his needs. He is a big boy & can probubly tell me what he wants if I would let him. He is 34-1/2" tall & weighs 30lbs. He has leveled off on the charts. I so look forward to the next 18 months to see how he changes & matures into a great young man. I love you little man & always will! Thanks for being my sweet loving little boy!!!

18 Months old Today!

Today my baby boy Dalton is 18 months old. WOW how time flies!! He has become such a fine young man. He is feeling much better. He did really good thru his sick time. He sleep good! Most important thing for little people is good sleep. That is when they grow!! Speaking of growing when I went to the DR with him he weighed 31lbs. WOW I have a whopper. We go to the DR tomorrow for his 18 month checkup. I look forward to seeing how tall he is now. I am thinking about 35" high.
We are going to go broke on shoes & clothes when he gets older. I think he will have BIG feet. Just like his momma!!
He is still a boy of few words but then again he is a guy & they don't talk much even when the grow up! So I guess he is just about perfect!!

How this 18 months as gone so fast! I know that it will only get faster. I am trying to slow down & enjoy every minute I have with him. Someday he won't want his mommy as much. So I am holding on to him tight right now!!

Still Under the Weather!!

Well Dalton is still feeling bad. We have a DR appt. tomorrow. I hope they can shed some light on why he has a fever. It is low grade but still you worry about your baby! He is still such a good & happy boy even with a fever. I tell you I have a real winner!! I can't believe he is going to be 18 months soon. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH it is going too fast.

Under the weather baby!

Sorry for not writing in awhile, I have been busy with a 17 month old. Poor baby boy had a fever yesterday & was kind of slow. Not sure why he had a fever. No runny nose or cough. Just a fever & really not in the mood to play like he usually is. He woke up about midnight for an hour, then we put him back to bed & he woke up at 9am. That is when I knew he did not feel well. Then he took a nap for 3 hours. Again I knew he was not feeling well. Lately I only get about 2 hours. I hope he feels better today!! We are putting up a fence between the house & pool so little buddy can't get to the pool. He LOVES to be outside & I hate we can't be on the back patio without me going "NO Dalton get away from the pool" all the time! Daddy will be done with it today I hope. Grandpa is coming over to help.

Zoo Tales........

We went to the zoo yesterday! It was great. Our zoo is being worked on right now. There is allot of construction on the entrance & different areas. Dalton loved it. He really liked the Elephants! I thought he would like the monkeys but they were not swinging around at all. They were just laying & chilling. I was HOT, I can not imagine what it feels like in the summer!! Glad we went now. I got some great pictures I will have to upload later. It was a long week because Darrel worked every night late! So I really did not have a kid break. But that is OK, Dalton is really getting to be a good young man! He LOVES I repeat LOVES to be OUTSIDE! I can't even say the word I have to spell it! I can't believe I am spelling words already. I am afraid he is going to learn how to spell & know exactly what we are saying. He is soooooo smart! He picks up on things the second you show it to him. He is a boy of few words but lots of smarts!! I just love him More & More everyday. I did not think I could love him more but everyday he does something that shows me I can.

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter as I did! Dalton was so great (as usual)! I have been tagged by a wonderful lady C at The Mother Hen I am NOT great at these things. I think everyone I blog with as been tagged so here goes my life summed up in six words. "Truly Blessed but Always seems Stressed" I am working on the stressed part!! I am truly blessed because I have good health & a wonderful family! I love most of my life & am working on the rest!! No one can make you happy but YOU!

SICK BOY/Sick parents!

Well poor boy was so sick Sunday & Monday. He got better on tuesday but I got it & so did Dad! I think we are all over it now. I think we had some kind of stomach virus! YUCK!! Dalton is such a trooper! He was a good boy thru it all. I wish the little guy would talk more! (I know all of you with kids are saying NO she does not) He is so smart, when you say an animal or such he can point to it right away. He is so cute now, we go outside ALOT!! He now smells flowers. He bends down & takes great big sniffs!! So cute!! I need to get it on video! I am so proud of how good he is for his age. He is learning new things everyday now. Boy what a privilage & HUGE responsiblity it is to raise a good happy kid. I am ready for the challange!! I do want another baby though. My DH is sooooooo not wanting one. I hope he changes his mind QUICK! I am not getting any younger!

Busy Friday!

Well I had a show all day then I got home & cooked. My mother had friends in from out of state. They are great people!! I cooked pasta & did deviled eggs!! Got to love Deviled eggs!! Dalton is doing great these days! Sleeping is wonderful!!! He goes to be at 7-7:30pm then wakes about 8am!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH thought that would never happen. He is still getting is canine teeth! Poor guy!! He LOVES I repeat LOVES being outside. We now have to spell at our house. He is so smart that boy!! He is a boy of few words but knows what everyone of them mean!! We can't say outside or Motorcycle without him wanting to run for them!! He is getting more fun everyday. I just wish I could have another!! He has been such a blessing to us!! I guess I am being selfish!!! I WANT ANOTHER BABY!! I am thinking it is not going to happen!!! My parents think Dalton has hung the moon!! He loves them too! He gets so excited when we start heading down there street! He knows exactly where we are going!! What a smart boy!!!

MAMU meet up!!

Dalton & I got to go to dinner last night with some of our blogger friends!!! WOW what a great group of people!!! I am very glad to know them all. I did not get to talk to all of them. Which I would have loved to do. I wish I could have been there in the afternoon. Dalton had a great time meeting Ava & Ethan!! What a bunch of CUTE kids!!!! I hope we can do that again very soon & we can be there the whole time! Thanks for a great evening & to New Friends!!

NEW Teeth!!

Wow Dalton is cutting his canine teeth!! His left one is just under the surface of the skin. I can feel it. This has made for a bit of a cranky boy. I can't wait for the teeth to come in already & give him a break. He gets going good then BAM a new tooth. I am excited to meet my online buddy's this weekend. I just hope they can meet for dinner Sat because I am working the rest of the time!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I only do a few shows in the Springtime & this weekend is one of our biggest!! Hopefully they will come again & I will plan nothing!! We will miss ya'll at the Zoo!!

Picture day!!

Well I had Dalton's 15 month pictures done today. It was not as easy now that his is walking! I worked my buns off!!! WOW! He is down for a nap & I feel like I should be. I think we got some great shots though. He is doing really great! Sleeping, eating & walking all good!! He still LOVES reading!! He also loves being outside! He cries when we come back inside. I can't wait until it warms up & we can go swimming!! Dalton is a water baby!! As soon as I get the pictures I will post them here on his blog!

Blogging is sometimes hard!

Wow I did not relize how hard blogging was going to be!! I vowed to keep up with it & am not doing a good job. I don't know if we just don't have exciting lives or what! Dalton is a great kid! I have been debating on putting him in a Mother's Day out for this fall. I was really excited about it until I started talking to other people about it. Now I don't want to do it. One person told me about her son getting scratched at daycare he is Dalton's age. It broke my heart. I just don't think I can just yet. I guess I will think about it for him when he is 3 years old.

OH I forgot this!

I forgot to mention Dalton is saying MOMMA more!!! YEA!!!! I have been waiting for this for awhile. No offense to my DH but I was sick of DADDDDDDAAAAA!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Anyway! MOMMA!! Is finally here!!! YEA for me!! Also DH & I are taking this great financial class at a church from Dave Ramsey! I think everyone needs to take this class!! It really opens your eyes!

BUSY WEEK!

Boy it has been a busy last week! I seem to never stop!! NO TIME for ME!! I know I know you are a mother & time for me is OUT! I have been checking in on my Grandfather last week because my mother was gone skiing! BOO HOO we did not go! Maybe next time! I meet one of my blogging buddies today. I hope we can become much more then just blogging buddies! I was so excited that she got to meet Dalton. She is soooo sweet!! Dalton has all of his 4 first molars now. He is sleeping, walking & napping great! Well I would like a 3 hour nap but I guess 1 to 1-1/2 hours is all I am going to get. I am really excited because I am going Monday to sign Dalton up for a mother's day out program. He will go 2 days a week starting in Sept. 2008. I can't wait for him to get to interact with other kids his age & make great new friends! It is a Christian based program, which I am excited about. I want Dalton to know God & all the wonderful things he has made for him!! I also got tagged & I am sooo sorry I don't understand that!! If the person that tagged me (she knows who she is) could explain to me more what to do I will be happy to complete my tag! Sorry Tag dumb.

YEA Nap time!

Wow Dalton only took 3 mins to get to sleep for his nap! I know everyone is probably tired of hearing about his sleeping issues but that was HUGE for us! He was bad on going to bed after our vacation in September 2007. So now that he is sleeping great it is a big weight off our shoulders! I posted some more pictures of his birthday in the previous post! I know his birthday was a few months ago but everyone always loves pictures. Dalton had a big fall on Saturday! That would be his first real boo boo! He fell on the sidewalk on his forehead! It sounded like a pumpkin hitting the ground. He was a trooper & did not cry long. He cried longer because I made him come inside. It is hard to see your baby in pain.

1st Birthday Slide Show!

Quick Morning Post!

Well Grandma & Grandpa are on their way to Colorado to ski! I am sad because we are not going. We had such a great time with them in Sept! We love to ski too!!! Dalton just cried when going to bed last night for about 3 SECONDS yes I said SECONDS. He has gotten to be a bed time champ! If you had told me this about 3 weeks ago I would have said he was going to sleep with us FOREVER!!!! AHHHHHH he is now sleeping in his own bed!! I know there will be times that he comes to our bed but nothing like 3 months!!! We are headed out to visit my neice & her family! The baby girl is soooooo cute! You know I want another baby even more now!!!! Good Day to everyone!!!

15 month checkup today!

What a brave boy I have. He only cried for a few seconds after his shots! He is such a big boy! His stats are great! (see growth chart) Dr. said he is doing wonderful. He is right on track for his age. I, of course, think he is above avg! He is so smart!! He loves to read & brush his teeth which I think are great!!!

Bad Blogger!!

Well I have not been such a good blogger lately! I have been a little down & have not been much up to blogging. Dalton is great but I am not so much! I need to change my attitude & get myself into gear. I have a great family & need not to be so down. I take Dalton to the DR Friday for his 15 month checkup. I can't wait to find out what he weighs & how tall he is now. Pants he had in September are now to big in the waist, so I imagine he is just growing up not out!! My neice had her baby on Sunday morning, she is the cutiest little girl!! We are going to visit her again tomorrow. Dalton will get to meet her for the first time. Well I am off to bed!!

4 New teeth! OUCH!

I could not figure out why Dalton did not want to eat lunch. Then when I got ready to put him in his CRIB (yes crib) for a nap I checked his mouth. We have been waiting for the bottom 2 new molars that are coming to the surface when I just checked the top for grins. I did not think they were close but they are broken thru the skin already on the sides. He is probably hurting bad! I gave him some soft stuff for lunch. Poor baby boy! He is doing great on the sleeping! He cries when he first goes into his bed but then after about 5 mins or so he falls asleep. YEA!!!!!!!! I thought this day would never come!! BUT it did !!! My boy is now perfect!!!! He never whines or cries except for bedtime. He is just a good boy!!! He makes our lives complete! Thanks for being my son Dalton!!! LOVE YA!!!

Wow I can't believe that it is 2008 & I have a toddler! Dalton wishes his Daddy a Happy Birthday today!! My dreams of motherhood have come true & I am a mother to the BEST kid on the planet!! He is really getting around great now. We are kind of boring & stayed home last night. We are starting off the new year right!! Dalton fell asleep on his own in his OWN bed!! YEA mark one victory for Mom & Dad!! Today at naptime it was a little harder but right now he is sleeping in his own bed & he did it on his own!! I almost gave up today!!! My brain said "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO don't give up" my heart said hold him!!! But this time I went with my brain, maybe it does know something (HAHA). The book I am reading says it can take up to 10 days to get him to do it on his own!! I am sure it won't take that long!! (I HOPE) Well Happy Birthday to my Dear Husband!! You have been a Great Dad to Dalton (and your girls)!! LOVE YA!!

I am a WALKER!!!

Dalton is offically a true walker now! Toddler is his name & Toddling is his game! HAHA! He is everywhere now. WOW did not expect it to be this tiring on me. I am chasing after him. He likes to do a slow run rather then walk at times. What a day makes! He is now getting up without using a chair or ME to pull up on. That started on Saturday & now when he falls he just gets back up no problem. He is still a little wobbly but overall doing great! I am excited he will be walking for Christmas that is what I wanted! (But do I really want it now?) We chose not to put up a tree this year because he would have knocked it down for sure! We went to see Santa yesterday & he DID NOT like it at all! Now I have a great picture to show his girlfriends when he gets older. When I can get it scanned I will put it on. I can't figure out how to use my new printer/scanner. Now I am going to finish my Christmas Shopping!!! I got the following little story from a friend and it really puts Christmas in perspective. Also I read that Christ is the longest thing in Christmas! Is that not true or what!

Mary's Dream I had a dream, Joseph. I don't understand it, not really, but I think it was about a birthday celebration for our Son. I think that was what it was all about. The people had been preparing for it for about six weeks. They had decorated the house and bought new clothes. They'd gone shopping many times and bought elaborate gifts. It was peculiar though, because the presents weren't for our Son. They wrapped them in beautiful paper and tied them with lovely bows and stacked them under a tree. Yes, a tree, Joseph, right in their house! The branches were full of glowing balls and sparkling ornaments. There was a figure on the top of the tree. It looked like an angel might look. Oh, it was beautiful. Everyone was laughing and happy. They were all excited about the gifts. They gave the gifts to each other, Joseph, not to our Son. I don't think they even knew Him. They never mentioned His name. Doesn't it seem odd for people to go to all that trouble to celebrate someone's birthday if they don't know Him. I had the strangest feeling that if our Son had gone to this celebration He would have been intruding. Everything was so beautiful, Joseph, and everyone so full of cheer, but it made me want to cry. How sad for Jesus not to be wanted at His own birthday celebration. I'm glad it was only a dream. How terrible, Joseph, if it had been real.

Wow we all need to remember this!!

I can SAY.....

SANTA! I think that is soooo cool! My neighbor gave Dalton this cute Santa hanger for his door knob. Well I was changing his diaper & he was playing with it when he got it and I said "Santa" then he repeated it right back to me!!!! The kid can say Santa but does not say Mommy!! He has said Mommy a few times but not much! I guess he knows who to suck up to right now!! SANTA! My boy is growin up. He says so many more things now. Here are a few words: GO GO GO, Yes, Santa, (of course Daddy), Lily & the occasional Mommy! He is really smart this one! I usually show him something once & he gets it!

Flu Shot!

Dalton had his second part of his flu shot today. He was a little trooper! He only cried for about 4 seconds. It was fast! He has become such a little walker! He is trotting around everywhere now. Unfortunately I am going to have to put shoes on him more when we go out now. He wanted down in the Dr. office today. Of course I only had socks on him. He wanted to walk around. I got him some hard shoes the other day, but he does not want to walk in them. He just stands there like AHHHHH what do I do in these things! We are both getting over a cold, I am sick of them. But I think it is because the weather changes from hot to cold & does not stay either! I wish it would just stay cold already!!

I am TIRED!!!

Whew! Mommy is sooooo tired! I have worked my buns off this past week! Dalton has had a great time with Daddy, Pappa & Jo. Grandma & I have had 2 lobby shows aday this week! So I have not had the time to blog! Next week I am done with Lobby Shows. That is bitter sweet! Then I can begin to get my shopping done.

Well I got Dalton's haircut like a big boy!! As we are calling it. He was a perfect angel just like the first time we got it cut but I chickened out on the back curls.

I got tired of it being so long. It was out of control!

He just sat in the chair while the lady cut it really still. We went to a place just for kids. He got to sit in a Fire Engine chair. Even when the lady buzzed around his head with the clippers he was still & quiet.

He is really getting along with the walking. I will have to get a video & get it posted. He takes 10 steps at a time. He is still not sure if that is the way to go. Crawling is still faster for him.

He has been giving more kisses lately too. He is saying more words. He likes to say GO GO GO. Also he says my mother's dog's name Lily. It is cute.

13 Months TODAY!!

Now that we are over the Soy milk thing! Wheeee! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We opted for a Brisket instead of the traditional Tom the Turkey. We thought we would save one turkey this year! Darrel cooked a mean brisket as usaual. He does a great job!! Best BBQ in Texas if I do say so myself. I cooked pumpkin pie & made toffee!! YUM YUM!! We went to Grandma & Grandpa Nelson's for Thanksgiving! Great Grandpa came too! We had a nice dinner & I played cards with my grandfather (which by the way was a mistake since I LOST!). Dalton is really working his walking legs! He likes to be upright more then on all fours (unless he needs to get somewhere really fast). Darrel will hold him & I will ask him to come to me & boom here he comes. He has taken 8 steps at a time! I hope he is walking by Christmas. That is my goal for him (of course that is mommy's goal may not be Dalton's). Dalton is 13 months today & he is doing just great. I think he is teething, not sure which teeth? We caught him trying to chew on the end table! We also had to put some child locks on some of the cabinets, I am tired of saying NO NO NO!!! It is wearing me out not to mention Dalton's bottom! He is a stubborn kid, if he wants something there is no stopping him. Which is a good thing for some things and not others! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am most thankful for my Family! Yes I have a wonderful Family. How blessed I am if I do say so myself. I live in a free country & am healthy!!

SOY MILK YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CAUTION: If you have just eaten do not read this!!!! OK soy milk is yuck going in & coming out!!!!!! Poor Dalton!!!! I thought because he was getting constipation with milk that we would try soy milk. Disclaimer: I called the dr office to ask if it was ok, they said yes! Well it is NOT ok for Dalton. About 2 hours after he had his evening bottle (I know he should not have an evening bottle but one battle at a time) he woke up crying. Darrel picked him up went to the living room. I came in to see what was the matter & picked him up (my mistake!) took him to the kitchen to get him some mylanta because his stomach was rumbling. THEN it happened an explosion from within his small body! All of his supper (what I thought was all) came out, all over me, counter floor & sink! So we got him washed up, put back down then no more then 1 hour later he was squirmy again. I again (made the mistake) picked him up & bam it happened again all over my front, back, hair & face (yes I said face). We took him in and again cleaned him up!! Ok thought it was over then about 5am I smell a stink, thought he had a bad diaper but no! So went back to sleep again then I awoke to another smell! That was it the worst diaper Dalton has had to this date!! So after we changed that diaper but did not go to sleep we went to the kitchen for a snack. He was hungry. He had a breakfast bar, then it happened again but worse! I had to give him a bath this time! (no explanation needed for that) Wow I thought it was over then about 1 hour later another!! Gosh I hope this ends soon!!! So the moral of this story is DALTON CAN NOT HAVE SOY MILK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daddy is bringing home the meat!!!

Daddy shot a 9 point buck! YEA!! The people he went with are having the head mounted, (which he will have to put that at work in his office) it is not going to be hung in this house!! Does not go with my decor! They are having the deer processed too! Yea we get sausage & slim jims which are my FAVORITE!!! He had a great time. He has not been hunting in over 10 years. He deserved it!! Dalton had fun at Grandma & Grandpa's house on Saturday. I did some ebay work for a friend. Yesterday we went to a Thanksgiving dinner party. Dalton had a great time & so did we eating great food with friends. He loves whipped cream (I mean who doesn't)!! He is becoming such a little man, he really wants to walk. When you walk with him he only wants to hold one hand. He is pushing all of his push toys around the house as well as at Grandmas house. He loves to walk!! I can't wait until he can do it without assistance. I belive he will be running instead of walking. He got a bump on the head at the dinner party yesterday. She had a small stool & he slipped & bumped his head on it. He has a nice goose egg on his head. I told the Cathy the ladies house we had the party at we would put her name over that bump! HAHA! Cathy was not even near when it happened it was MAMA! I am sure there will be more of those to come! We are having brisket for Thanksgiving. Darrel makes a mean Brisket! I had turkey 2 times last week so I can skip it!

Just Dalton & I!

Daddy is off to bring home some meat for his family the old fashion way!! Hunt for it! He has not been hunting for 10 years. He got to go on a free trip to hunt. All he has to do is bring himself & clothes. They are paying for food & lodging! So Dalton & I are home alone this weekend. He is sleeping right now so I am listing some ebay items I am selling for a friend. I have lots to do so I really need to get with it!! I am hoping Grandma & Grandpa will take him some tomorrow so I can work in peace! He was trying to snap his fingers today! It was so cute. He is soooooo smart! I just wish walking was on his top priority list but we all know that will be on his time not mine. Also I will probably regret the walking thing when it happens. Well I am going to check on the little bugger!

Poor little guy!!

Well this morning Dalton woke up at 6am! I don't blame him he was soaking wet!!! I did not know one little guy could pee that much!!! WOW! I am stumped on the sleeping thing!! The doctor told me to leave him in his bed to cry. I will try that this weekend once again!!! I just hate to hear him cry. He was fussy Monday I think because of his shots he had on Friday. He was sort of fussy yesterday too! I guess that dumb flu shot got him. Darrel & I don't get them because they make us sick. I guess I should not have given him one either! Lesson learned!! He is doing good otherwise. We have our 8th tooth! He now has 4 on top & 4 on bottom. We found out he loves pizza. But who doesn't love pizza. He loves yobaby yogurt! I am selling a bunch of stuff for a friend on ebay! WOW it is alot. She is so sweet & I hope it all goes for a great price. Most of it is stamping stuff!! She went to digital scraping! I need to check that out! Our favorite scrapbooking place is closing on November 30th! We are all crushed!! That was my one night a week to get away. I will have to find somewhere else. I am almost done with is one year book!! I have to start another now! I only have 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th month pages plus crawling page to do then I am done. I do have his birthday but I am going to do that in a smaller album. Well off to start the day!! Well it really started over an hour again! Good day to all!!

ONE YEAR CHECKUP STATS!!

He had his 1 year checkup on Friday. He got 3 shots YUCK!! It was like he new when we laid him down on the table & held his arms he started to cry like I know what is coming!! Well on better notes he is: 32-1/4" tall 29.15 lbs. He is starting to go up instead of out! The DR said he was as tall as an 18 month old! WOW I think we have a real tall one on our hands. He might even be taller then DAD! That could be a problem when he becomes a teen! I am so proud of him because he is doing so good! The DR said I am going to have to just let him cry in his crib. She said it would take about a week or 2 but he would go back to sleeping good in there. But she said if we did not nip this now it would be worse later. She said to me how many teens have said to their mothers you let me cry when I was a baby in my crib! I really want him to sleep in there!!! I think we all would sleep better including DALTON!! So I am going to have to buckle down & really do it!!! I am sure I will say after it is over YEA I am glad I did it!

TAKING HIS FIRST REAL STEPS!!

Well yesterday Dalton took his first real steps!! He had taken 2 a few days ago but that was it. But now he took 4 steps then 5 steps. He is really going to walk soon. I got it on video so I will post it later! I am really excited because then I don't have to carry him!!! YEA!

HOW FUNNY!!!

This was so funny!! Yesterday Dalton did not get much sleep I mean about 10 mins. So when we were feeding him dinner last night LOOK AT THE PHOTO BELOW:



You guessed it fell asleep! It was hilarous! Daddy was just feeding him & his eyes just started to shut then finally closed!!

He was a tired boy!!! Because you know he never falls asleep without assistance. This would be only the second time!!!


The next photo was of him trying to do a handstand or look between his legs. I was working in my office when I looked over & saw this! He learned this at the Little Gym.

Halloween Pictures!!

Last year Dalton was only 7 Days old on Halloween so we did not dress him up. Here are some pictures I had taken of him in his Halloween Costume. He was so cute, we took him to his Grandparents, Godfather's & neighbors houses. We had him stand at the door with his pail! He was so cute. Next year will be great when he can run up to the doors & maybe say TRICK or TREAT!!

I WANT TO SLEEP AGAIN!!

OK, I really wish Dalton would be somewhat consistant with sleeping. One night it is sleeping in his bed until morning the next it is getting up at 1am! AHHHHHHHHHHHH I just want to sleep all the way thru the night!! I really want another baby but this is breaking me of that! We are going for his 1 year checkup on Friday, both Daddy & I, so I am going to get some hints then. Also he will be getting shots! But not the MMR one. I am waiting on that one. I just don't like what it has done to kids as far as Autism. I have plenty of time for it. He won't be in school for awhile. I don't think he would get Autism but you never know & I don't want to take that chance. He is so bright & happy I would hate for that to change.

Well this is a FIRST for my little Man!!

This is a very first for Dalton. He has fallen asleep in the car of course but NEVER in the house on his own! Maybe he is growing up!!! YEA!! I was just about ready to put him in the car for a little ride to drop off some stuff at the donation spot that did not sell in our garage sale.
It got really quiet except for his video & I looked over and saw this!





Our neighbor gave him that pillow for his birthday. He loves it! He always sits by it in his playard!

I know he has way tooooooo many toys! There are more where those came from! Our living room. Now our dining room is his playroom. I moved my dining room table & chairs to our breakfast room & sold that set. So now he can see me accross the entry hall in my office. He has his TV & toys, all a boy really needs anyway. He loves it!!
When he was in the living room he would cry because he could not see me, now he has a full view of momma!

Well I guess since my little man is sleeping I shall get stuff done!! SHHHHHHHHHHH be very quiet the baby boy is sleeping!!!

Ok I know all of you probably get sick of me saying he is a great boy! But he really is. We took him to a kids haircut place. He got to sit in a fire engine. Which he loved.

They put on Baby Enstein for him which he also loves. So what is a kid to be unhappy about. He just sat there. Every once in awhile he would look around. But for the most part he just sat there.

Ok I thought I was ready to get his haircut but I was not! Darrel said why did we even bother, she did not cut off that much. I took pictures & had my baggie ready for the hair. But Dalton has such nice curly hair in the back, I just was not ready to see it go! So I had her just cut the front & trim a little off the sides. He was even good when she had the clippers out to trim his sideburns!

So most of the change is on the top & front. Maybe I should have waited awhile longer!! But I was so excited until I really got there, I guess I want to hold on to my baby a little while longer!!!

He got lots of great gifts, including a wagon from Grandpa & Grandma that he loves. We ride in that now instead of his stroller!
He also got some great riding toys. The boy has 7 things to ride on! Talk about spoiled!! He got some great remote control items too!

Thursday Happenings!

Today I had a meeting so Grandpa said he would watch Dalton while I was there. They had a great time. They took a walk, ate mashed potatoes & watched cartoons. He does love his Grandpa. He lights up when he sees him & Grandma too. Dalton & I went on a walk today with his wagon, he loves that thing! I guess he feels more like a big person not riding in a stroller. He just loves to look around. When we were headed back home up pulls Darrel. He was riding his motorcycle & when he has the helmet on Dalton does not know what to think. He knows it is Daddy but still just looks at him like why do you have that silver thing on your head. Dalton gets a kick out of seeing all the decorations for Halloween. We walk by some & he just points & say stuff (don't understand what!). Gosh I am so lucky to have such a good boy, everyone says how happy he is all the time. He truly is happy all the time!!! We have decided not to give Dalton that MMR shot right now (& maybe ever)! I am so scared of it! He is so happy & I would hate for that to change him from what he is!! Darrel is going with me to the one year checkup to keep me strong on what I want. We don't want the shot & I don't want to cave!! I will be posting some pictures of the Big Birthday Bash soon! I have to do a lobby show tomorrow so I have been busy with that the last few days. I know get it in gear & post some pictures. We had a great time! Dalton was a good boy! We had been singing to him for 2 weeks everyday so he would not cry when everyone sang to him. He did great! No crying!!! He loved the cake, you will see that in the pictures! Goodnight everyone!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Well today is Halloween! Dalton is a pumpkin. What a great pumpkin he is!! This will be the first year we get to go out & trick o treat. Last year he was only 7 days old. We just sat on the couch!! Grandma & Grandpa got him a wagon & we are going in that. Next year will be even more fun because he will be walking!! We went to the little gym today which he just loves. He is so vocal there. He loves the other kids. Dalton seems to be playing well with others. He is gentle when he touches other kids. He laughs the whole time he is there. People say to me he is always smiling & yes he is!! I hope he stays this way forever Happy & Healthy!! I will post some pictures of my little pumpkin later!! Happy Halloween everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALTON!!

Well today is Dalton's 1st birthday. What a big milestone my baby is taking!! I am sad to see him pass the baby stage but excited for him to have all the new experiances Toddlerhood has in store for him!! He is going to the Little Gym today to play with all his friends there then we are going to go with Grandma to Toys R Us to get some toys for his birthday. The party is on Sunday & I think I am ready, cake is ordered, balloons & etc are bought. Just need to get last minute food. We got a pinata of Elmo so he can have fun with that. Can't wait for him to tear into his cake!! Well off to the Little Gym with my little big man!!

New Trick!!

Dalton has a new trick. He can point! I think it is so cute. We were outside letting bailey the dog out when he pointed at his daddy's truck. He looks so cute pointing!! Of course I think he looks cute doing everything. Well tomorrow is his big day!!! NUMBER 1! I went & got the party supplies such as plates & cups!! We got a pinata! It is elmo which is our theme.

3 Days until the big Day!!

Well it is 3 Days until my baby boy turns 1 years old!! I am sort of sad but happy he is moving into the next part of his life! He is such a sweet boy, I know I say that all the time but it is really true. He has so many bruises from crawling & standing & falling. I can't wait for him to walk. He is walking now holding one hand of an adult. He is also standing allot without holding anything. I am waiting for him to take his first steps!! Soon!! His sisters were here to visit him on Saturday. He just thinks they are great!!! Wish they were closer though.

Friday Highlights!

Grandma & Grandpa picked up Dalton so I could get ready for the garage sale the neighborhood is having tomorrow. I am so not ready. I do want to sell some stuff. I hate selling his clothes he has outgrown but since I am not having another baby why hang on to it. I am saving the outfits he has taken pictures in at the photo studios. I want to save some so I thought that was the best thing because then I won't save it all!!! You know how us mother's want to save every piece of clothing our children had. They all have such great memories. Dalton has new words the one I am most proud of is Mama. But Hi is another. He is so cute with his waving. He has been standing alone lately. I will come into the room and his is just standing there. He tries to walk but has to still have someone holding his hands. He is so independent. Well I better get off the computer & get to marking stuff!!! UGH, glad when this Saturday is over!!! OH only 6 days until my baby turns 1!! He will be a toddler!! BOOOOO HOOOOO they grow up so fast. He is such a little man already!!

MAMAMAMAMA!!!!! YEA I have been waiting for that for awhile. I have been saying it to him forever. FINALLY I get Mama!!! Hope he keeps it up. It will be a big change from DaDaDaDa all the time. So today is a great day. We have colds but Mama makes me feel much better.

Monday Madness Report!!

I think Dalton has some allergies. Hope it is not a cold again!!! He has a runny nose & sniffing!! At the farm we went to for pumpkin picking it was dusty!! Out in the middle of nowhere!! Darrel was sneezing when we were there too. It rained here most of the day. It is starting to become cooler, for us that is in the high 80's. This weekend is our neighborhood garage sale! I have to get ready for that as well as a charity auction/fair on Thursday & Craft for Saturday for my business. What a hectic week this will be. I am looking forward to SUNDAY!!! The 28th is Dalton's birthday bash!! I have to get ready for that next week. I am going to go Sunday to buy the cups, plates etc for the party. I am getting a pinata. The kind you pull so that Dalton can pull it. It will be Elmo like the rest of the theme of the party. He sure digs him!!! We are going to get him a tunnel he loves climbing around & crawling between things so I think he will like that. I am also getting him this Dinosaur that goes with these balls for other toys he has. He will love it!! Well off to work on all my projects!!!

Great weekend!!

Well we went to a farm to get pumpkins this past Saturday!! Dalton had a great time! We got 3 pumpkins. 1 small one for Dalton & 2 big ones! I will post some pictures soon. Can't wait until he is about 3 years old he will have a great time. There are rides & lots of other stuff to do there.

Great Week!!

Dalton had a great week! He gets to go to the little gym twice this week. We have 3 make-up classes to do. So Daddy is taking him today! YEA! I am glad he gets to see just how much fun it is for him. I am really glad I signed him up for that class. It was not so cheap but worth every penny to see him light up!! His tooth is in next to his bottom 2. So he has 7 teeth offically now. I think he will be getting the otherside soon. He is such a trooper. Hope everyone has a great weekend. We are going to pick pumpkins this Saturday at a farm in our area. I am excited to take Dalton's pictures in the pumpkin patch. He is going to be a pumpkin for Halloween so I think I am going to take his costume to take pictures also. This post is especially for my friend Dassy!!!

What a good boy!!

Dalton is such a good boy. I am getting ready for his party. I don't know exactly what you do at a one year old's party. I guess it is more for mom & dad then baby. He does not have a clue. A friend of mine is making the cake. She showed me the picture of it yesterday WOW it is so cute. I can't wait. He is even getting his own to smash!! She is so talented. WOW again!!!

Tooth Frenzy!

Well Dalton's cutting the 2 teeth next to the bottom 2 he already has. Boy he is probubly saying no more teeth!!! He is not excited about his bed right now. He sleep with us on the trip & is having trouble going back to the old crib!! He is so sweet. I can't get over how much he loves other kids. He laughs & smiles when one comes by!! We went to the little gym today. He has not been in 3 weeks. He was happy to go back!! He really enjoys that. He wears out after his 45 mins there.

BACK TO REALITY!!! YUCK!!

We are back from Colorado. I would love to live there!!! I would move in a second. What a beautiful state!! There was nothing that I saw there that was not just beautiful. Dalton was GREAT on the plane!! There were other kids that were not so good. He is such a trooper. He had a running nose some of the time but he is back to his old self. Now we have to get him to sleep in his bed good again. He slept until about 2am then back with mommy & daddy. He slept with us for a week so we are going to have to work on it. Well I am glad to be in my own home but again I wish I could move it to Colorado.

On Vaction in Colorado!!!

OH MY GOSH!!! God has surely made a great place when he made Colorado. The mountains are sooooo beautiful. If you live here you are very blessed to have such a great view on a daily basis!! We were on our way from Denver to Steamboat Springs when we went thru Rabbit Ears Pass & there was SNOW!!!! Cool. We did not think we would get to see it yet. We are having fun & taking lots of pictures. Wish all my friends & family were here with us!

Better Night!

Dalton had a great night. He slept from about 8:30pm until 6:30am. Meds must be doing their thing. He was given a cough med & steroid to try to clear this bugger of a cold up. He is going on 2 full weeks of lots of coughing. He is doing much better this morning. Glad to get this gone before the trip. The airplane ride would not have been fun for him with a cold.

Poor Baby Boy!

Well Dalton has been sick since last Monday. We went yesterday for a chest x-ray to rule out anything in his lungs. Praise his lungs are clear. He just has a runny nose & cough. We are going back today. We are leaving Sunday for Colorado & want him to be well for the trip. Don't want his first trip to Colorado to be a disaster! Will update when I return from DR. Wish she would just give him antibiotics to clear it up!

Freaky Friday!!

Well today is a better day for all of us. Dalton is feeling better. He only has a slight cough. Mommy is feeling much better too. He slept better last night. Took a long nap this morning. We are getting ready to go to Colorado with my parents in a week. We are all flying & that should be fun. I am so excited. I have not been there when there is no snow. So this should be fun. We are going to a place called Strawberry Park which sounds great. Also going to go on a hike up to a waterfall. Look forward to taking some great pictures.

Mommy is sick now!

Wow Mommy & Grandma are both sick now too! Dalton is getting better & I am getting worse. Dalton sleep last night until 1am then woke up again at 4:30am then again woke up at 8am. I hope tonight will be all night!!! My poor boy only sleep 20 minutes today!! Let's all sing "Tonight is the night"!!!

Cold!! YUCK!!!

Dalton has a small cold. He has a runny nose & did not sleep well last night at all. Mommy was up all night long. He got up at 6:40am & has not gone to sleep yet. It is now 10:30am. I don't think I am ever going to get to sleep again. I am sooooo tired. You would think he was too! I guess the pediacare that I gave him is keeping him up. I just want him to sleep about 2 hours so I can too!!!!! Hope tonight is better!!!

Sleeping Issues!!!

Well it has been awhile since I have written anything. Dalton has not been sleeping well at night. It is weird that he went from a good sleeper to now waking up 1 to 3 times a night. People say it could be developmental milestones or teething!! The DR office said you are going to have to let him cry & put himself back to sleep. They are probably right!!! I hate that but I think that is my last resort. When I know he is feed, dry diaper & had stuff for his teething I am going to have to teach him to fall asleep on his own. Darrel & I have been putting him back to sleep all this time. He probably does not know how to do it on his own. Next Weekend is the time when we will do that. I am not looking forward to that at all!!! I hate to hear my baby boy cry! But He will not remember & he will sleep better! Wish us luck!!! I have been doing some lobby shows & craft shows that is why I have not blogged lately. I am bet!! I am also doing this stupid diet thing & it is making me nuts!!!

Happy Labor Day!

What a great day today! We have had a nice family day today. Dalton has been great as usual. He is taking a nap right now. We went to Toys R Us & found this great car that we can push. He rode in it at the store & loved it. It had a steering wheel with a horn. He loved that. We will go back & get it this weekend. We had too much in the trunk. It is also pouring down rain right now. Everyone have a Happy Labor Day!!

Dalton's new moves!

Dalton is moving & shaking!!! Wow he is off & running with the crawling. He loves to stand up, he is now really good at it. He sleep from 7pm to 6am last night!! YEA He has been up alot lately during the night. Hope that cycle is done! He is so sweet, smiling all the time!! I can't believe that in less then 2 months he will be ONE! BOOOOOO HOOOOOO! He really needs a haircut. But DAD won't let us get it cut until he is 1. I am excited to take him to this kids haircutting place just for kids. They take his picture & video & let him watch videos. His new thing is to pat his legs & hold up his arms when I say "Blast OFF"! Little Ensteins. He loves them. He loves Handy Manny too as well as Baby Enstein.

RPNC WEIGH-IN

I have to say I am suprised that I lost 2 lbs this week. I have to say I did not even try. I guess Dalton crawling I don't really have time to eat or think about eating. Yea for his crawling.

HAPPY 10 MONTHS TO DALTON!!

Dalton is 10 months old! Wow does not seem possible. I say that as every month passes. Soon it will be every year that passes. He slept until 7am. Which is great since he only had one nap yesterday that was about 1 hour long. He is teething so is a little sensitive! We are going today for pictures. Can't wait. Hope he is good & not cranky. I really want some good pictures.

Well Dalton slept until about 7:20am this morning!! YEA BOY!!! Love that. I am sure he does too! Dalton is off and running now. He is into everything!!!!!!!!! He loves the windows! He loves looking out! He is pulling up on the furniture allot now. He just does not want to sit still. I love that he is so curious. Some say that means he is smart! Well of course I already knew that but it is nice to hear from other people. We were in the house all day yesterday waiting for the a/c guy! YUCK. Of course they were over an hour late & we had waited 4. So were are going to go out today. I feel like a caged animal since I have not been out in a day. Hope everyone has a great day!! UPDATE for Thursday! Dalton did not want to take a nap. I looked in his mouth while he was fussing & his bottom gums are swollen & red. He might have more teeth in the front coming in. He is sure getting teeth fast! Poor guy. He is hurting!

Been a couple of days!

Well it's been a couple of days!! Dalton is crawling & I am tired!! He is wearing me thin!! I hope thin! I am having to follow him around to make sure he is not in trouble! He is pulling up on the furniture. He loves to walk around furniture & holding our hands. He is going to be walking sooner then we think. He loves to be up and moving. He can't sit still very long unless one of his videos he loves is on. Well I am off to bed because I was up with him thru the night. I think we are getting our molars & that is waking him up. Goodnight all!

CRAWLED TODAY!!!

Wow we were so excited! I was glad that Darrel got to be there too for the first crawl!

He is really mastering it today. I am in trouble now!!! He has already gone right for the outlets & what is plugged into them. Tomorrow I am off to buy more outlet covers. I guess I will be moving all my cleaning supplies up now too. I will be shutting doors & much more!!

Mommy is going to lose weight because now she is going to be moving non stop!
Looks like we are going to miss the hurricane!! YEA!! I pray for the people that are not so lucky!

I am off to bed!! I have to get my rest for tomorrow's crawl-a-thon!

Sorry girls I forgot to put my stats up yesterday. I went Scrapbooking yesterday from 4:30pm to Midnight!!! YEA I need to lose about 60 lbs. YES you heard me right 60 lbs. I am going to not put my weight up because there are too many people that see me all the time that I don't want to know my true weight!! So here we go 60lbs & counting!! I am going to limit myself to 1 yes 1 coke a day!! That is my weakest link. I am going to start using my treadmill again. It is so darn hot here (about 105 heat index) most of the time. Or I will walk the mall which is 1 mile around once. I should walk it 3 times. Thanks for letting me join your Rollie Pollie Ninja Chubs Club!!! It will be great!!

Not much going on today. Dalton did sleep straight thru to 7:45am YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Loving that!! He is so happy. We went to Garden Ridge Pottery & he laughed the whole time we were there. He loves to look at other kids big or small. He is a flirt & attention hog!! Just like mama!! I am working on mama, still only dada. He talks alot to his toys. He does give the best kisses in the world though.

New Teeth Saturday!!

Wow, I was sure thinking he was working on his molars because I felt something back there. Well we did not even think to look in the front. He got his 2 teeth on each side of his top teeth. I thought before they might be coming but then lost focus on them & spent my time checking the back. Long behold the front 2 are coming out! You can see the teeth, they have broke the surface. No wonder Dalton has gotten up the last couple of nights. DAH Mom!! He now has 6 teeth. I remember when Darrel said to me, enjoy his cute look without teeth because once they start to come in they will come fast. He was right. I do miss the little toothless grin. He is such a tropper thru the whole teeth thing though. I think he does good considering what pain I am sure it is. We had an uneventful Saturday. We did not really do anything! Dad & Dalton swam in the pool & I did some laundry. Real exciting! I know I keep changing the templete to his blog, I can't seem to find one I like. There are not alot of great choices. They need to make some for babies! Of course soon he will be a toddler, BOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!! He is growing up WAY TO FAST for my liking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sunday we have to go show Grandma & Grandpa his new teeth. Grandpa has not seen him in a few days and needs his Dalton fix. It is going to be 100 degrees today! Which means the heat index will be about 108. HOT is all I can say HOT!

Napless Friday!

I don't know if Napless is a word but that is what kind of a day my son had. He did not want to miss a thing today. He took a 20 min nap on the way home from shopping today. Dad got him this evening!!! YEA! He was good today but just awake for the whole thing. I like a little down time. He reallllllllyyyyyy wants to walk I think. He loves to stand up. I hope he crawls because I don't want to miss that stage since this is my only baby!! Hope he naps tomorrow!!!

Terrific Tuesdays!

Well we are having a Terrific Tuesday today! We had Breakfast with Grandma & her friends. Dalton was great as usual. Then we went to Target to get Diapers seems like we do that all the time. Well now Dalton is napping & I am going to Clean YUCK!!!! Don't like that much. I had a wonderful weekend, I scrapbooked 21 pages!! I have thru his 5th month done. So I have 2 more months plus some extra pages like the bluebonnets, teeth, first food & first trip. Then I should be caught up! I really want to get caught up so I don't have years to do at a time. I know people that do, they struggle with it. I don't want to forget stuff that I might want to make note of. I have also done a book for my mother (his grandmother). Her's is almost caught up too! YEA!!!!! It was a blast!

Dalton's 9 Month Checkup Today!!

Dalton had his 9 month check up today. Dr said he is great!!! He weighs 27lbs & is 30-1/2" Tall!! He is off the charts on all measures which I think is great!! I think he is going to be ahead of the game all his life & his going to be a super man!!! Also Saturday while mom was gone (of course) he learned to sit up from a laying position all by himself. He is soooooo close to crawling. He now gets up on his hands & toes & his whole body is off the ground. He is moving around great with his arms & legs. I just know crawling is in our near furture. He was great for his Dad this weekend. He went to Grandma & Grandpa's yesterday & had fun in their pool!! He loves to go to their house. He is such a happy boy! Right now he is in the pool with DAD!

Cranky DAY!!

Dalton has been cranky most of the day. I think it might be the teething thing again. I can't explain otherwise. He is normally a happy sweet boy! He would not eat much food today so that might explain help explain the teething. Hope tomorrow is a better day. I have a meeting at 10am & hope he is good for it. Daddy gets to take care of him from Friday afternoon until Sunday night!! Hope he is good for him, he usually is. Dalton goes for his 9 month checkup on Monday. I got a 8:15am appointment because I want to be one of the first. My DR is great, she does not rush you. So that makes all of her appointments run behind. It is hard now to sit in the Dr. office with a 9 month old that wants to move about!!!
